If there was just "one," that one person wouldn't be alone for long. Like an idea spreads, so does the idea of God Among Us and an equality among all people brought about by the Spiritual impact therein.

There is no chosen "one," but in fact many people who embody this reality -- the many.

The last line of Grant Morrison's The Invisibles...

Dane "Jack Frost" MacGowan: Reynard and me would argue all the time in this little Indian restaurant they had in San Francisco. There was a picture of Bill Clinton on the wall. There's no difference between fate and free will. Here I am; put here, come here. No difference. Same thing. Nothing ends that isn't something else starting. So which side are you on? Do you know yet? Anyhow. I've said my bit and it's your go now... so while you're thinking about it, think about this... my mate Elfayed told me something when I was little and wanking about twenty times a day: "We made gods and jailers because we felt small and alone," he said. "We let them try us and judge us and, like lambs to the slaughter, we allowed ourselves to be... sentenced. See! Now! Our sentence is up."
"Chaos exists as a pool of possibilities that order draws from and organizes according to creative desire. Some things get tossed down the memory hole only to reemerge later when the need arises. Neither chaos nor order holds a monopoly on creation and destruction, creative or destructive chaos exists as does creative and destructive order." - ME! Yeah, Bea :) snoocherdoodle@gmail.com

Quote from that section of the trilogy.

At 5:45 in Washington, D.C., the switchboard at the Pentagon was warned that bombs planted somewhere in the building would go off in ten minutes. "You killed hundreds of us today in the streets of Washington," said the woman's voice. "But we are still giving you a chance to evacuate the building. You do not have time to find the bombs. Leave the Pentagon now, and let history be the judge of which side truly fought for life and against death."

The highest-ranking personnel in the Pentagon (and, with revolution breaking out in the nation's capital, everybody was there) were immediately moved to underground bombproof shelters. The Secretary of Defense, after consulting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, declared that there was a 95 percent probability that the threat was a hoax, intended to disrupt the job of coordinating the suppression of revolution across the nation. A search would be instituted, but meanwhile work would go on as usual. "Besides," the Secretary of Defense joked to the Chief of Staff, Army, "one of those little radical bombs would do as much damage to this building as a firecracker would to an elephant."

Somehow the fact that the caller had said bombs (plural) had not gotten through. And the actual explosions were far more powerful than the caller had implied. Since a proper investigation was never subsequently undertaken, no one knows precisely what type of explosive was used, how many bombs there were, how they were introduced into the Pentagon, Where they were placed, and how they were set off. Nor was the most interesting question of all ever satisfactorily answered: Who done it? In any case, at 5:55 P.M., Washington time, a series of explosions destroyed one-third of the river side of the Pentagon, ripping through all four rings from the innermost courtyard to the outermost wall.

There was great loss of life. Hundreds of people who had been working on that side of the building were killed. Although the explosion had not visibly touched their bombproof shelter, the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and numerous other high-ranking military persons were found dead; it was assumed that the concussion had killed them, and in the ensuing chaos nobody bothered to examine the bodies carefully. After the explosions the Pentagon was belatedly evacuated, in the expectation that there might be more of the same. There was no more, but the U.S. military establishment was temporarily without a head.

Another casualty was Mr. H. C. Winifred of the U.S. Department of Justice. A civil servant with a long and honorable career behind him, Winifred, apparently deranged by the terrible events of that day of infamy, took the wheel of a Justice Department limousine and drove wildly, running twenty-three red lights, to the Pentagon. He raced to the scene of the explosion brandishing a large piece of chalk, and was trying to draw a chalk line from one side of the gap in the Pentagon wall to the other when he collapsed and died, apparently of a heart attack.

This thread seems to fit in with the current trend on GLP. A trend that perhaps isn't so current and probably is a recurring theme.

It's always about some unknown individual among us with great capabilities. It caters to our egos by making us all wonder...hmmm could that be me?

To accept that premise would be to dismiss the obvious effect that that this website has on everyone who voluntarily participates in it. If not dismiss, then assign a lesser value than deserved.

Can one individual have such an effect? What about the countless other individuals who post who never read the posts of the one individual that this theory postulates that this website was intended for?

Or is it even necessary that this one 'important' individual even posts at all? If one assumes that the rest of us are unimportant compared to this one individual, then the very concept that this individual's actions can change us is unimportant, because we are unimportant by assumption at the very beginning.

Never mind me. Just typing out loud here.
The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.

Exactly. The Pentagon in the trilogy was a trap for the Eater of Souls, a Lovecraftian horror that was fed accident deaths within the US.

i think these fit here:

Thread: Thoughts on the Void

Thread: Deformation and Reconciliation, a Follow-Up to: ElectroStatic and ElectroMagnetic Charge Fields

also, i think a lot of problems stem from there both being a dualism, but also that dualism being illsionary, because its perpetuated from the same infinite nature. this is my humble opinion though. great thread! 5stars for sure.

If anything, these blatant attempts to call out a "chosen one" archetype negates the efforts of many who fulfill other, quirkier archetypes that are just as, if not more, important in the grand scheme of things. All this jostling to win that "coveted" position does is disempower other archetypes into seeking that role instead of embracing their own. I'm thinking out loud, too... because in a lot of ways it seems counter-intuitive to me.

archetypes are symobls and often conceptualized myths. i would also say they generally contain both information and truth being transmitted specifially to the person looking at it. i would venture to guess our ancestors used this as a way to store information though history and probably lies within DNA and our natural enviroment. also read some jung.
