People need to learn the difference between racism and prejudice.

They are not the same. A racist just hates a group of people because they are in that group. Someone who is prejudice has learned to hold views about a group of people due to experiance.

While both may be wrong the ones who are prejudice at least have a logical, perhaps flawed but still logical, reason for their views. Also being prejudice doesn't mean you have to shut youself off to the group you are prejudice towards. One can just take more care in their dealings with new members of that group when they first encounter them.

It may be wrong to be racist but who can blame people for being prudently prejudice? The lines of racism and prejudice have been erased by society and that is WRONG.

There are many OBVIOUS AND WELL DOCUMENTED reasons many blacks (among other minorities) have had and still do have problems adjusting to this country...and EVERY one of them is due to inequality. It has less to with race and everything to do with the following such as:

1. Being made slaves for cenruries.
2. Being shipped slaves in a country not your own.
3. Being slaves by people who consider you subhuman, worthless, etc....where for centuries you are hunted, abused, and discouraged from education, reading, learning based on the fact that you have different features from theirs.
4. After being from slavery....having no way to incorporate yourself into society for a fair chance at equality due to instituted Jim Crow laws for decades.

Dispite the fact that your people have been the most priveliged above all ethnicities here....and blacks have been the most cursed and afflicted...you want to constantly complain about the problems the you percieve about another race. Take the "poor Oppressed black" and see what happens when you take away the oppression.

South Africa, a relatively well off country during the white rule. Has turned into a failed state with extreme problems since they got the blacks into government.

Take all the former British Colonies in the Caribbean / Bahamas, They were relatively safe / well off before the British gave them their independence. Now it's crap central.

Simple fact is, there are no countries in the world run by blacks that qualify as anything but Epic Fails.

I was trying to decide whether to put this under my avatar or go AC, since even the anonymity of an avatar doesn't seem anonymous enough, but I figured I would take whatever came. This needs to be said.

I am white and almost 40, very well-educated, within a couple of percentage points of the fabled 99%, and becoming increasingly racist as I get older. Maybe racist is not an accurate term, but certainly less "tolerant".

This phenomenon is in precise opposition to what I was taught to expect. I grew up in a liberal, East Coast school system, where there were few evils in history perceived to be more noxious than racism and anti-semitism. The root of it all, of course, was ignorance. Blind, stupid ignorance, compounded by provincialism and irrational fears of the "other". We were taught to be enlightened, to understand that all men are equal, all cultures have their strengths and weaknesses, and that, while not explicitly stated, whites have committed a litany of sins against blacks and Indians, in particular, and other races in general. Become educated, become worldly, and escape our racist heritage, we were told.

I absorbed it all. My parents were conservatives. And while I wasn't deaf to their objections to the ideas I brought home, I more or less bought into the arguments for various racially-corrective social programs. But then, it wasn't exactly a fair fight. I was cheered by all for spouting the accepted wisdom, especially teachers, but one false step in the other direction brought out the "racist" label - a social death sentence. So I learned to accept the conventional wisdom as the truth and joined many other well-meaning young, white Gen-Xers in bending-over-backwards, both morally and logically, to ensure that, whatever the issue, race and culture were removed from the argument, apologies were made for any suggestion otherwise, and those stupid enough to identify race or culture as causes of hurt were rightfully isolated and humiliated.

Eventually I escaped the echo chambers of various schools and stumbled into the real world. Without an assured professor or self-righteous peers to correct me, I found my carefully constructed shibboleths getting cracks. Bad behavior by blacks met by guilt and apologies for my whiteness met by more bad behavior by blacks met by more back-bending by myself met by more bad behavior met by astounding circusesque mental acrobatics met by yet more bad behavior and then, finally, a slowly dawning WTF moment.

I was as educated and as well-read as they come. I had started out "enlightened" with a fantastic fortress built against even the whiff of racism. And here I was, experience slowly submerging education, becoming increasingly racist, or more precisely, culturist. Seeing the patterns of behavior emerge over and over again, by the same stereotypical human beings. Finding that my ability to predict behavior based on a cursory physical evaluation of the individual, with race as a major factor, was far into the tail end of the probability curve.

What emerged was a simple fact, a FACT (at least in my mind), is that whites and blacks in the U.S. are not at all alike, and while I tend to be feel there is little genetic basis to the disparity, it is undeniable to anyone willing to look at facts that Black American Culture is massively inferior to White American Culture.

Not only is it inferior, but it is inferior enough as a culture, that I do not believe a functional, prosperous, remotely democratic civilization could survive long in the absence of the crutch that is White American Culture.

Now before I get some batshit responses, let me state the obvious fact that seems overlooked whenever one makes a generalization like this. I am speaking in the aggregate. Of course, there are superlative black individuals, just as there are horrific white monsters. More precisely, there are superlative people who embrace Black American Culture just as there are horrific monsters who embrace White American Culture. But as an aggregate, the values championed by White American Culture are superior for the creation of a just, happy, and long-lived civilization than those championed by Black American Culture.

Anyway, I wanted to get that off my chest. As a white man who has spent his whole life very conscious of the basic unfairness of treating an individual differently because of an unchangeable feature of birth such as skin color, I have spent my life climbing out of the trap that equates that basic act of unfairness with the quite rational and necessary act of critically judging a culture that, in this case, happens to be largely composed of a single race. They are not the same thing. One is racism and ignorance. The other is logic and truth.

With that gauntlet thrown, I invite anyone to prove the above paragraphs incorrect. I would love to crawl back into my comfortable shell made of cozy, heart-warming ideas about the equality of white and black culture. Show me the way, if you can.

Name me a country led by blacks that isn't the result of invasion by white Europeans.

FACT: every damn State led by white people has become corrupt and tyrannical.

FACTS: Everything you can make up to prove your racist, fanatic dogma.

Another good reason why blacks should not use any white technologies.

1; blacks are not ready for white technologies and/or 21st century.

2; whites should be blame for giving blacks some technologies too quickly by confusing blacks into madness.

3; white should slows down for another 20 centuries and let blacks catch up for that lame UN human right equalities.

4; blacks need to upgrade 20 light years DNA now to catch up with whites intellectual.

5; Our spirits sighs once again since we were all in many different types of races (let alone colour of our skins?) before and shall be again after.
