I would have unloaded over his head. Let him know how close to geting shot HE became. And since we can't see or hear what is happening off camera, we can't be sure he didn't stop, turn around and fire himself.

He was alot closer to the gun than I can see. A 22 barrel isn't much bigger than a pellet gun. Maybe he didn't think it was real. Maybe he didn't think he would shot,or maybe, he had just fucking had enough. Hard to say. My first reaction would be to get out of the way of that barrel. Then maybe worry about wether I had a shot or not. Brave, drunk or stupid?
