I've been reading articles, pro and con. Some say it destroys nutrients in food? Thoughts please

The only reason consumers "need" to use microwaves is for so-called convenience. And like so much else that's going on, TPTB promote whatever is not good for the public - why do you think so many things now require microwave preparation?
