Re: Wife just saw our Akita (who's been dead for seven years) running through the yard.
Neat story!

I've never seen a human ghost but I've seen blobs in the shape and size of a cat moving around my house. (We have had lots of cats, love my cats)

We've both had the feeling that Peke was around at different times.

But it's always been just a feeling until tonight.

Wife said the Akita was trotting right alongside our little bichon in the yard.
 Quoting: <Path>

Awesome! You had a real good dog there I'm guessing. :)
 Quoting: Muggl3z

Oh hell yes.

That dog was way smarter than me. She lived a nice full life and was dieing of natural causes. We had to have her put down in the end though.

She died in our arms at the emergency vet.

This site is chock full of assholes isn't it?

OP, do not get your wife put on meds unless you want a lazy vegetable at your side. All psychiatric meds are either meant to A) kill you B)dull your psychic/spiritual senses C) kill you. Just look at the ingredients, flouride and flourine (and analogue of flouride). What does that screw up? oh yeah your pineal gland. Your connection to the other side.

Everyone who's commented on his wife being mentally ill: go back to watching TV and jerking it in your mom's basement.

The veil IS lifting for everyone, even for those who are too stupid to understand or experience the supernatural yet. All you tools who don't think the afterlife is real, you'd better get studying, because you're already walking in it even if you don't know it, and you're going to have one HELL of a rough time after you die if you don't even believe it exists. You'll end up a ghost, a spirit that is stuck on the 3rd dimension because they're too afraid to leave the Earth, or too stupid.

i hope it bought comfort to experience this.

after one dog had to be euthanised due to irreversible liver failure(he was in fine shape prior to this and the cause was unknown) i had a strong dream of him coming in to visit and play with his friend/our other dog who was grieving as well....well the other dog started to bounce all around as if playing with him in the natural so to say-
lasted only about 30 seconds and i was wide awake then due to the noise---they were both large dogs so when they played there was noise and commotion--
at that time it only upset me more.

another dog used to literally patrol the house during the nite, always checking on the kids by touching his nose to them and i'd hear the way he walked/his toe nails on the floor..every now and then i distinctly hear him.
same as another dog making the sounds as if getting up/that shaking themself and then settling back down again-

have seen quick glimpses of former cats

i definitely do believe in what i have seen or heard was a simple manifestation of their spirit and to reassure us that they understood what happened and everything is alright for them.

Your families love for Peke apparently transcends the typical boundaries.

Perhaps Peke is trying to communicate a message.
My Grandfather said it took much energy to cross the boundaries,

and it usually only happens for a good reason.

Oh shit that reminds me.

When we first got the Bichon we took this picture out in the snow of her playing.

There was no light source in the yard besides the camera flash. The light appears where the dog is supposed to be in the picture.

Yes it's comforting on many levels.

My wife has commented several times that she heard the bells on Peke's collar, as if she was running up and down the fence like she often did.

Since she always nursed on Peke when she was hurt, it's only fitting that she would be the one Peke appeared to.

Thank you for the heart warming post.

I sen my chow in my garage a few years back. When I told my girlfriend she just laughed and said he started showing up very shortly after his death. Have heard him growl at the door in the middle of the night once as well. Gave me chills , I knew it was chin. Then I was slightly scared what he was protecting me from after his death.

You got one-star votes because you didn't say ANYTHING about what happened. Like when did this happen, where were you, who else might have seen it, WHAT exactly did you see it, how long did it last, have you seen it again, etc. What is with people who post a thread with a subject like yours and give absolutely NO details?
