I don't think professional help is warranted, unless it happens a lot. It's very common for someone to think they have seen a departed person or animal, to which they had an emotional attachment. The mind can do funny things at times - but unless it becomes a problem, or a regular occurrance, then IMHO it is perfectly normal.
