What the Maya think about 2012...might surprise you!
Here's a quote from the article at:
[link to www.jaguarwisdom.org]

To paraphrase the collective remarks of many contemporary Mayan teachers with whom I have communicated: “The fact that our distant ancestors carved some mysterious dates on ancient stone monuments will not help you to walk the Road of Life in a spiritual manner day by day.”

In other words: Stop dreaming, start living. Chop wood, carry water. Be awake.

No one has an opinion on this article? After all the posted threads here about the Mayan Dec 21/2012 end date?
I figured for sure, there would be some discussion on this.

How about this one? This one says we have a choice how we enter the "New World Age".

[link to www.adishakti.org]

"Both the Hopis and Mayans recognize that we are approaching the end of a World Age... In both cases, however, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead.

the date of december 2012 will be extremely close to the end number of 7,778,742,049. which will be the number on earth, when god establishes his kingdom. our population is approx. 7.100 billion. by the time winter solaces comes around. the perfect number of 7,778,742,049 will hit. then the stars will fall, a new heaven and earth will be created.

all prophecy will be fullfilled before the world population his 7778742049. the time exactly, only the father know.

The links I have posted don’t say “End of the World to me”
These articles talk about the end of the current cycle and the beginning of a new cycle.. Kind of like our own calendar that went from 1999 to 2000. It was the end of the 19 hundreds and the beginning of the 2000’s.
Has our life changed since 2000.. you bet! Has it ended? …. Not for anyone reading this!

Are the 2000’s filled with tribulations? Yup, I do believe so.
Are the tribulations of the 2000’s worse the those of the 1900’s…mmm I’m not thinking so..
The 1900’s had the stock market crash of 1929, and the dirty '30s, they had world wars, they had the 24% interest rates for mortgages, they had Vietnam, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan.

We’ll have to wait and see if the 2000’s are worse…

there is nothing god can't do.
2000 years ago was a dark and different time.
think about it, there was nothing.
what was God supposed to established for us?
another cave? another mule? another dry day in the desert?
please
2000 years later,
we have presented a world to the father.
the father responded by sending his son.

The entire galexy and all the planets in it are heating up, so I'm thinking the global warming on earth will continue.. but is it man made? I don't think so. Maybe they will finally tell the people on MSM about this. It's long over due.

There are many self-proclaimed maya shaman that all disagree on what it means. So that looks like the right answer to me. Go about your life and see what happens. Of course, being prepared might make it easier to go about your life with worrying what manner of death awaits around every corner.

The old stone mayan calendar ends Dec 2012 -- nothing more. Expect new, updated stone calendars in the mail soon. They will have bigger magnets as many people were complaining of the old stone calendars falling off the refrigerator and damaging hardwood floors.

I agree. I think much of what lies ahead will be man made but can't help thinking that our solar system entering the disk of our Galaxy and aligning with the the centre could have unknown effects on Earth and that this is what the Mayan calender is all about.

Re: What the Maya think about 2012...might surprise you!
the answer is here: In the end, the entire system collapsed.
The Mayan people walked away from the great cities and the dead leaders; they continued to work the land as farmers. They remain there until this very day.

so our choice will probably be just this: became independent for once or start again the stupid game slave/master, peasant/leader.

why do you think they are injecting fear everywhere and why they pushed all these prophecies so much?

they know their time is coming to an end and they only want to make you think without them you cannot do a single thing, it's a lie time to realize it.
