Me and my boss often discuss over lunch about the medical progress that man has made over the years. Science has advanced in medicines, surgery, machines, equipement etc.
But, we cannot figure out a benefit as regards the average death age. I mean all this progress and humans still do not live any longer on average.
My theory is that the progress of curing may be resulting in the re-production of an inferior human race.
It has to do with the "survival of the fitest" theory. When wild animals [in the wild] produce an unfit offspring, it is left to die. The other way round the offsprings that survive are fully fit, healthy and have greater chance of producing stronger generations.
I certainly do not want to sound like Hitler style, but the human race is depending much on cure. My argument is definately not against curing, but I'm very puzzled about the fact that humans are being born with inherited diseases.
Every, I mean every time I have a check up the doctor asks:
"Do you have any family members with heart disease or problems?" You got my point?
What about diabetics? we all know that this cruel condition is inherited.
And cancer? I don't know....but it's not promising from what I see around.
