Almost every single major (relatively) city had construction going on at its freeway nerve-centers. Scary thought. |

If the structures are anything like the melamine-plastic-and-hotglue products already coming here from there, the shit's going to fall apart. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 449695 This is such a ridiculous argument. Every single manufacturing based economy churns out garbage products with lousy quality. They also product high quality items. Just because you spend your time in Walmart and dollar stores looking at the ass end of Chinese manufacturing doesn't mean it is representative of their ability or in any way typical. Besides, cheap plastic toys in an entirely different world than infrastructure - something China has much more experience with over the last decade than anyone else in the world. Go have a look at construction happening in Shenzhen or Guangdong... |

Barry never said it would create jobs for Americans. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe |

Go have a look at construction happening in Shenzhen or Guangdong... I've seen the construction, and in all their major cities it all looks beautiful and sturdy. Maybe I'm being "simple", but I'm still concerned why outside help is cheaper. Is it the cheaper labor or cheaper materials than what US co's will do? Expensive doesn't always mean "better", but what's being skimmed? |

Regardless of the fact that US law usually requires American companies to be picked first for infrastructure jobs, multiple Chinese companies are currently working on U.S. bridges and roads throughout the country. [link to theintelhub.com] what a load of crap...we all see the roads being built...those going in close to me are not being built by chinese....they are american white boyz! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2926765 I really don't know any details but if I had to guess I'd start looking at the large American construction companies and their unions. Something tells me that they've priced themselves out of the market. |

saved User ID: 13905923 United States 04/16/2012 10:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | if their road building is anything like their shitty products then we are really fucked Quoting: Zyto Its what happens when you owe 16 trillion to china, and no where in sight do they plan to stop spending. This is what i mean by a hostile takeover. our government can now justify giving them job preference, and even allowing them to buy land, and work on it. But it is plainly treason!!!! But on another note they just finished a five year project here in the mountain pass in Albuquerque, finished it last year. The road is literally falling apart already, talk about job security!!! The road up the mountain where i live wont last either, paert of the fleecing of the american people is to use seconds on asphalt mixed in with oil and a little new asphalt, and act like the road is brand new. But within 2 months of finishing the "new road" the asphalt goes to gray in color, which signals used road revamped and oiled! Its all a bunch of bullshit, infrastructure rebuilding is another loophole for government to fleece the tax payers, their isnt near enough oversight! Thye are thick as theives in washington and it becomes ever more apparant. Change comes from leadership! You know something is bad wrong when leadership is telling you change comes from within the ranks, what a copout!! Come And Take It! |

Youd be surprised how much Japanese are buying up In my town a wealthy South American had to come in and save one of our factories and buy it up. I bought the movie Red Dawn btw. It would be worthwhile watching again |
