wild animals glowing in the dark
My brother and I were just walking down the street, here in Gainesville, Florida, and a flock of bats began to fly towards us. Cool, right? Normally you can't even see those suckers, but here's why we did tonight:

THEY WERE GLOWING ORANGE LIKE A GLOW IN THE DARK TOY. There were a good 15 to 20 of them, flying close together, nonetheless, they were obviously bats.

I know gene splicing exists in China for glow in the dark pets, but to see this happening in the wild... yeah...

It's obvious the mutation (forced upon them or otherwise) was helping them catch bugs, but I can't find a single documented case of their existence on the web.

We cursed ourselves for not being able to pull a phone out in time to catch the sight. You'll have to take me on my word for this one.

I cannot stress enough that they were bats, and that they were all glowing. I mean, you know when something is producing its own light because it doesn't change in brightness. I almost couldnt believe my eyes until the were directly over us at tree top height.
