for those of you saying it does not work on carpers, YOU MUST LET IT SIT FOR # DAYS. Then, vacuum it up. As for your pets, I have also heard that spraying them regularly with Apple Cider Vinegar works as other posters have said. Google amethyst stone in drinking water. i read somewhere about this before but i think it is only supposed to work for cats, but its worth a try:)
