How true is the rumors of millions of rounds of .40 cal being purchased for DHS and the bulletproof checkpoint houses?
Quoting: Sandstorm For the booths: [ link to news.thomasnet.com] Quoting: Albino Rhino Yeah but from the way the article reads it appears that they ordered one booth, which is a far cry from checkpoints on highways. "Shelters Direct provided the Department of Homeland Security with this 4×13 Steel UL 752 Level 3 Bullet Resistant Booth. Let's try some basic reading comprehension here. The term "this" would imply one item as well as "booth" vs "booths". So where do you get that multiple booths were ordered. The photos look like any other guard post you might see outside of a military base or sensitive gov facility. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1146468 "This Booth" could mean that model of booths. Just like when people talk about cars. Especially expensive cars. This Mercedes has a 350hp engine. not These Mercedes have a 350hp engine. Because you are defining ONE model out of the many models of Mercedes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5616706 And to make it more clear. The government wouldn't have someone design just one booth from a mass manufacturer. They would just give it to a local carpenters Union to make a custom one. They wouldn't dedicate an assembly line to build ONE booth.
