It was NiP, she erased.

She messaged me about a month ago about this and I guess she decided to do what she was had been thinking about doing for a while.

I liked her she was very unique, I will miss her.

NIP - I didn't know her. She must have liked you all very much to give all those karma points.
 Quoting: Truly

NiP = Nobody in Particular was a GLP staple for a very long time. She even did a few voice chat nights with the mods.

Little on the wild side, but she fit right in. I never touched her threads, but they were fun to look at.

She did not pass away, She deleted.

Oh, Ok. Yeah, I think I remember seeing her in here.

Re: The hang out...
This is the only place where I can have my say and it won't be noticed immediately by the mods and deleted. I saw the most heartfelt poster deleted three times tonight - it was so wrong. I'm deleting this account after I post this, it's never been in me to back down, but in this IT world I don't stand a chance here.

WOW - most of this place has become so harsh I can hardly put it into words. I was an AC for a while because I lived overseas in a small country and couldn't download or upload anything and was so looking forward to being 'home' and having some fun here on GLP. Love different kinds of people, music so much and love posting videos. But . . . my green karmas have started being given out as 'red'. Only an administrator could have made that happen. And there are red comments I never wrote that are signed with my name. So if you get any know that it didn't come from me. And if you notice it on someone's else page please let them know it wasn't from me - I have never given out red - enough negative energy in the world as it is. And all the talk about karma and asking who cares? - well it makes people feel bad to read something mean, I don't care what they say. I've also been blasted for supporting a certain music thread. How messed up is that? For loving music! Wisconsin Boy you must know what I'm talking about.

I thought that it would be appreciated - my posts that came from the heart, you know food for thought? because I do appreciate other's opinions - I mean I watch Bill O'Reilly and I'm a liberal! - but that did not coincide with the platform of GLP. I mean what is the point if you are always preaching to the choir? Doesn't that get boring? Don't we need to read the opposite of how we feel to challenge ourselves and stimulate our thoughts?

Yes I think Obama's heart is in the right place. Yes I believe in social welfare programs. I am taxed heavily and I am welcome it. I want everyone's children to have the same opportunities as mine. I believe in equal healthcare and education for all. I have always had many gay friends, although I am very much straight with pretty much traditional family values. I love black people as much as white. I have lived all over the world and I KNOW that we are all the same! We all want the same things in life - for our families to be safe and healthy.

Thanks for liking my peace sign RoXY :) and my bestfriend is Dutch as I assume you are, strong women for sure. And Chrit I don't know your story, other than it's painful (so clear from the videos you posted), but hang in there. Keep listening to the music - Van the Man. All the ladies that congratulated me on my anniversary - so nice of you (I'm normally not very sentimental but had nearly finished off a bottle of Moet, ha!). EvilMoney thanks for the green. And OP - liked your thread, it's just nice.

We'd sure miss you if you left. I must say that to be in authority used to be an honor. People used to earn such positions through hard work, and a little thing called "ethics". It used to matter how you treated people. Now, it seems, the more you bully and verbally assault people (and curse like a sailor), the higher up you go. It seems to at least be the case on this forum.

In case anyone has been following my "This Old House" updates, I have to say that I sanded the floor in the hallway where we knocked out the plaster and replaced with drywall. By hand. With a hand sander. Ouch! Most of the polyurethane is already off the floor, thanks to it being walked over countless times from people and dog feet, but it is still a pain. We're hoping to get the entryway looking SPECTACULAR even if the rest of the house...not so much lol.

A guy goes to the Post Office to apply for a job.

The interviewer asks him, "Are you allergic to anything?" He replies, "Yes, caffeine. I can't drink coffee."

"Ok, Have you ever been in the military service?"

"Yes," he says, "I was in Iraq for one tour."

The interviewer says, "That will give you 5 extra points toward employment."

Then he asks, "Are you disabled in any way?"

The guy says, "Yes. A bomb exploded near me and I lost both my testicles."The interviewer grimaces and then says, "Okay. You've got enough points for me
to hire you right now. Our normal hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You can
start tomorrow at 10:00 am, and plan on starting at 10:00 am every day."

The guy is puzzled and asks, "If the work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 PM, why
don't you want me here until 10:00 am?"

"This is a Government Job", the interviewer says. "For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that."

"This is a Government Job", the interviewer says. "For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that."
 Quoting: Lyttlmiss

Four men were bragging about how smart their cats were.

The first man was an Engineer,
The second man was an Accountant,
The third man was a Chemist, and
The fourth man was a Government Employee.

To show off, the Engineer called his cat,
"T-square, do your stuff.
"T-square pranced over to the desk, took out some paper and pen and promptly drew a circle, a square, and a triangle.

Everyone agreed that was pretty smart.

But the Accountant said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said,
"Spreadsheet, do your stuff."
Spreadsheet went out to the kitchen and returned with a dozen cookies. He divided them into 4 equal piles of 3 cookies.

Everyone agreed that was good.

But the Chemist said his cat could do better. He called his cat and said,
"Measure, do your stuff."
Measure got up, walked to the fridge, took out a quart of milk, got a 10 ounce glass from the cupboard and poured exactly 8 ounces without spilling a drop into the glass.

Everyone agreed that was pretty good.

Then the three men turned to the Government Employee and said, "What can your cat do?"

The Government Employee called his cat and said, "CoffeeBreak, do your stuff."
CoffeeBreak jumped to his feet...
Ate the cookies...
Drank the milk...
Shit on the paper...
Screwed the other three cats...

Claimed he injured his back while doing so.

Filed a grievance report for unsafe working conditions...
Put in for Workers Compensation...
and Went home for the rest of the day on sick leave...

An Aspiring Writer

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become known as a great writer...

When he was asked to define 'great' he said, "I want to write words that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream in angst, cry out in rage, howl in pain and anger!"

He now works for Microsoft writing error messages.

"This is a Government Job", the interviewer says. "For the first two hours, we just stand around drinking coffee and scratching our balls. No point in you coming in for that."
