Anonymous Coward User ID: 14603395 United States 04/17/2012 06:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I swore I was adopted because I'm the only one in the family with blond hair and blue eyes (I'm not). I married a dark-haired man who is part Native American, yet our daughter has blond hair and blue eyes. She married a man with dark hair and brown eyes, yet their child is also blond/blue. I've seen this with others families as well. Maybe the genetics we were taught were not always correct about dominant and recessive traits? |

Quoting: Rigel I did my DNA testing to make sure that she was mine, and it came up with 99.98%. I'm interested in what may cause this because recessive genes can't pass that many generations. How can this be? You did DNA testing? Don't trust your wife? Anyway, sorry to break the news to you, but grandma cheated on grandpa, plain and simple. Have a great day !! |

I would not have taken the test otherwise. We're divorced because of her inability to control her sexual urges with other men. So, to continue, any explanation? |

He has been asked over and over again if the 2nd one is his, so finally he had a DNA test done, and sure enough the 2nd one is his. I had a hard time believing it, but its the truth. |

Water Flower User ID: 13840658 United States 04/17/2012 06:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it's somewhere in there. my grandparents are both light skinned and they had two very tanned skinned kids. being part spanish, it meant that the arabic/african blood was showing up. grandpa always said they weren't his kids, but they look similar to the rest of the others - only diff. is skin tone. i also heard that my other grandfather was dark haired, tan skinned, but his parents were blondish/brown haired with green eyes. i never met him, but i see the resemblance in me w/ some of the distant cousins. a nephew of mine is mixed w/ african american and sometimes his hair would turn really medium brown in the sun. my sis has black hair and so my his dad who is african american. he looks like the dad, but the hair, well, he's got a little european in him showing off. lol it happens - genetics. Her hair could still darken. Most of the children in my family had blonde hair as babies. But we all have dark hair now. There are even tribes in Africa where the children are born with blonde hair and it switches to black before puberty. Just enjoy your blonde headed baby girl and don't worry about it. |

I know that the red hair skips generations in our family. My eyes are hazel/green, my husbands are brown and we both have dark hair. All of us have fair skin that tans easily and hardly burns. My mother has green eyes, brown hair, my daddy brown hair and eyes. Hubbys mom has brown hair and brown eyes and looks indian. His dad has blue eyes and light brown hair. And he was murdered to keep it all secret. Examining the shadows and cracks between America’s official version of history, Xaviant Haze and Paul Schrag propose that the America of old taught in schools is not the America that was discovered by Lewis and Clark and other early explorers. Investigating the discoveries of Spanish conquistadors and Olmec stories of contact with European-like natives, the authors uncover evidence of explorers from Europe and Asia prior to Columbus, sophisticated ancient civilizations in North America and the Caribbean, the fountain of youth, and a long-extinct race of giants. Verifying stories from Lewis’s journals with modern archaeological finds, geological studies, 18th- and 19th-century newspapers, and accounts of the world in the days of Columbus, the authors reveal how Lewis and Clark’s finds infuriated powerful interests in Washington--including the Smithsonian Institution--culminating in the murder of Meriwether Lewis. Sungaze_At_Dawn User ID: 1458670 Canada 04/17/2012 07:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1. People have throw backs in genes a long ways. 2. Blue eyes and blond hair are probably less recessive than has been thought, as they have maintained throughout history, and you're carrying genes that go back a long long ways at that. But most traits are not dual pairs but a group of genes determine this. I have blond hair naturally that darkened and brown eyes. But all around me, on all sides of the family, they have blue, blue green, and green hazel eyes. And out of 5 boys, only 1 has brown eyes, two have baby blues, and two hazel green. Which is high odds too. I only seemed to pass the recessive genes. 3. ET abductions happen alot. So genetics isn't cut and dried. The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist. Do not go quietly into the good night. Rage Rage against the dying light! |
