I took genetics in college and I realize that there are recessive genes, but no one in either of our families has blonde hair and no one has blue eyes.
I did my DNA testing to make sure that she was mine, and it came up with 99.98%. I'm interested in what may cause this because recessive genes can't pass that many generations. How can this be?
Editing because our family trees on both sides all the way to our great grandparents had brown hair and brown eyes. My wife was a cheater during our marriage, that's why I did the testing.
Recessive genes come out, yes, but how many generations of brown haired and brown eyes people does it take to make a blonde haired blue eyed little girl?
Quoting: Rigel OP sorry, to tell you , it happens a lot in genetics. I have strawberry blonde hair and green eyes > the only one in my entire family to have this combination My parents both have brown hair and brown eyes. My older brother was born with fire engine red hair but now, as an adult, it is light brown. Genetics are amazing
