I am a Christian and have read the bible, the bible never states the age of the earth, it does set an age on how long we have been here but as you should know the earth was here before we were even created, the genesis gap theory, there is a huge gap between verse 1 and 2! The earth could be millions or billions or could even be trillions of years old, but we have been here for under 10,000 years according to biblical scripture

Actually you may be valid to a degree here. There was a gap of undetermined time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.

According to the Bible in Genesis 1:1 God created the Earth and its atmosphere. In Genesis 1:2 something happened and the Earth become an uninhabitable ruin (formless and void), covered in darkness. There’s no way to tell how much time passed because time had not yet begun. In Genesis 1:3 God said “let there be light” and began the 6 day creation process with day 1. On day six he created the animals and man.

So the earth could be very old indeed. But life isn't.

I watched this show with a famous Geologist (sorry his name escapes me right now) but He is a Christian now and his lectures are amazing because he KNOWS what the scientists and geologists try to teach and he goes through each one disproving as he goes why it can't be possible (evolution, age of the earth...) he said "NEVER on any record has any fossil been found older than 5-6000 years."

This makes me wonder about what happened to the dinosaurs. It's one thing for them to become extict but what could have happened that their eggs stopped hatching?
