Re: DID A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER FIND THE ANSWER? FEW VERY FEW.THREAD UPDATED WITH THE ANSWER
op did it ever occur to you that we may have investigated these things for ourselves over the years and become fully convinced in our own minds as to the truth of the gospel?

see we have decided to follow Jesus ;) Jesus Jesus Jesus!! though our sins be as scarlet they will be washed white as snow. washed in the Blood of the Lamb!

the Blood of Jesus Christ was enough to TAKE AWAY all sin for all time. the cup of the new covenant = His Blood shed for many. this new covenant far surpasses the old!!

so no, see we don't preach commandments commandments commandments or sabbath sabbath sabbath. we preach Christ and Him crucified -- to the jewish people a stumblingblock and to the greeks foolishness. but to us our Savior our Redeemer and THE WAY the truth and the life!! there is no other name by which we may be saved and EVERYONE WHO CALLS UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED ;)His Name is Jesus!! we praise and proclaim Him!!

Let us tear down some more inconsistencies that these men are flooding the world with

The quoted in red above is from the book of joel who was addressing the children of Israel.Funny how they denonce the OT but uses it to make their points

2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.

2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call

*NOW! here is the kicker*
The new testamenttells you who has the holy spirit holy spirit and who it is given to

acts chp 5
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to *them that obey him*.

5:33 When they heard that, *they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them*.

Question
Who has the holy spirit?

Answer
Those who obey the the commands and laws of the father

Point # 2

How can you call the name of the Lord in your disobedince and expect him to hear you..If a man regard inquity in his heart the lord will not hear.."thats in your bible".

Disobeience is outright rebellion and is like withcraft

samuel chapter 15
15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

15:24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Thank you for defining sin but guess what? All men are guilty of withcraft (sin) and if you disagree that's your right, but can you tell me one person in the history of man, not named Jesus Christ, who was without sin? Saul was no different than anyone else, for all men have transgressed against God's Commandments, its why he sent himself in the flesh, shed his blood and give his life. I hope that one day you will accept his works for salvation instead of allowing the works of your mind, to confuse others.

... John 8:11 From now on sin no more.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13479329

It is impossible for me to be without sin, just like it is impossible for you to be without sin, or any other human being and each of us will die because of that, and after that death, each of us will be Judged. However, my faith in the works of Christ, not my own works, means unlike those who deny him, that when I die, I will be present at The Bema Seat Judgment of Christ, which takes place in Heaven right after the gathering of his elect, and it is to award crowns to Church Age believers for the things we’ve done while on Earth. It’s described in 1 Cor 3:10-15 and other places.

For everyone else that dies, without having faith in Christ, they will be at the Great White Throne Judgment, which comes at the end of the Millennium and is meant for unbelievers of all ages. They’ll be judged by their works and be told that their name is not in his book, then be told that they can not enter his kingdom, and then they’ll be thrown in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 20:11-15)

Re: DID A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER FIND THE ANSWER? FEW VERY FEW.THREAD UPDATED WITH THE ANSWER
OP in Mar 16:17 - 16:18 Jesus says, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

I was wondering, can you please give us some examples of times when you have cast out devils, spoken in a new tongue, taken up a serpent, drank a deadly thing and not been hurt, and healed the sick by the laying on of hands?

If you cannot do these things, how do you explain Jesus' words here? And how is it that you can say that you believe? Thank you in advance.

These scriptures are true but we as a people have been tarnished and becoame double minded. We are all guilty and have not walked in the puruty of life as the people of old so our relationship has been affected by our worldliness.
I have seen godly miracles in my life but not on the scale like we read in the bible.

I do believe though that with total consecration and a committed effort to obedience to the father he will work through man to achieve his purpose.
I blieve when a house is clean the spirit of the most high will work through that man or woman without hinderance.

The messiah has spoken the truth he will not lie fro he is the word of the father. We are the ones making him look like the liar because of our lacluster relationship
1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,

That is another bold faced lie with nothing to back it up show us the scripture and I will definitely show what it means ,You MEN OF LITTLE UNDERSTANDING CANNOT UNDERSTAND PAUL so you make prophecy come true,

Gentiles has no different salvation from anybody else you were grafted in and if you dont follow the rules you will be plucked out the same way.

NOTE TO YOUNG BELIEVERS
I say to young beleivers beware of men who are not learned but will inject these ideas in your head, search the scriptures foR yourself. The apostle peter warned of such men.

2ND PETER CHAPTER 3
3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

You need to verify this folly of yours .

You asked for the scriptures and I provided them. Look, I entered this thread with the intention of helping a fellow believer answer a Biblical question. I didn't realize I was being baited into being a spectacle to satisfy the self-interest of someone's misguided theological rant - to be called a liar in front of an imaginary following of "young men." Doubtless I will be called a coward or other names once I end this pointless dialogue. You are not walking in love for your Christian brethren, but in selfish pride of your own puffed up knowledge. I believe you know that in your heart based on the words that you project onto others: "You need to verify this folly of yours." Would have loved to have been part of a real conversation between two Christian brothers. Maybe next time.

Sorry but your thinking is a lie carried over to you by these seminarian puppet preachers. That interpretation is a bold faced lie,one that you believe. This is not personal but I will call it as it is.
The seminarains have destroyed good people over the years into taking their flasehood to young minds and continually pass on these heresies to the children, generation after generation.

2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,

"Friend, are you telling me, that you absolutely, keep the commandments of God, meaning you are without sin? That you do not sin?"

this is why we must point to Christ rather than the law. we all fall short. we have all sinned. there is none righteous no not one.

we are righteous only in Christ by way of His grace -- we have faith in Him and He has redeemed us from the law of sin and death.

we can not some way improve on His finished work through presumed obedience. we are either saved or we are not. we either believe He died for us -- His one time atonement paying the price for all our sins deliberate or ignorant -- or we don't. He rose from the dead. His Spirit makes intercession for us. we confess our sins and He is faithful to forgive us.

the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. we do not bind heavy burdens unable to be borne on His sheep. we rather rejoice that Jesus has set us free ;) and we proclaim HIM ;)

the answer to all the confusion is Jesus. He has not given us a spirit of fear but of a sound mind. He is not the author of confusion. mercy triumphs over judgment and we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths Jesus Christ is Lord period ;)

If you Abide With The Father and Son, your Love For HIM and The Witness of HIS Holy Spirit Gives you Knowledge of any occasion which might cause you to choose sin...

Can't witness and testify that you are Born-Again per Ezekiel 36? Then you are NOT and you have no Knowledge or Relationship With Christ or The Father.

Here is the Ezekiel 36 Witness. It is what I Know and have lived for almost 28yrs:
26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Gonna argue? Jesus has Witness for you who claim HIM but know HIM Not... From Matthew 7:
21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29. For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Re: DID A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER FIND THE ANSWER? FEW VERY FEW.THREAD UPDATED WITH THE ANSWER
Carnal-hearted Christians of the Hebrews 12 Bastard persuasion hate those who witness of their Relationship With God.

These self-willed workers of iniquity only allow God as much authority in their lives as they are willing to delegate. They, therefore & thereby, are setting themselves above God.

How ya gonna keep any of the Law, The Commandments, if you cannot accept & allow God To Be God?

All your bluster is self-willed and symptomatic of your inability to be honest. The carnal-heart seeks to preserve self and control what it accords Unto God. Thus is the rationale for religion. Jesus did not found a "religion". Men sought to control God and their fellows by defining HIM in their desire and toward their goals; thus was "religion" created.

Don't need a church, don't need a minister or preacher if you are Born-Again and Abide In & With The Father, Son, And Holy Spirit.

Want to argue? Want to object? I don't care if you believe me or not. I gave my life to God unreservedly and have Abided In and With HIM ever since. The carnal-heart will cling to any shred it can find to deny God's Call.

Not broken? Not lost without God in your life at all times?
Doubtful you can grasp the Gospel or Christ Jesus' Way Unto The Father.

This is the Laodicean church age. Most are waxed gross and lukewarm as Jesus Witnesses in Revelation ch 3. Not pleasing at all To HIM. Spewn forth...

All the lying Hebrews 12 Bastard preachers/ministers/teachers... All so fast to claim they "study unto the approval of God" per 2nd Tim 2:15; yet they miss verse 6 in which Paul states "those who would labor in HIS Vineyard ought first Be Partakers Of HIS Fruit"... Sadly, all the religious controls and "divinity schools" have done is to pervert The Witness Of The Gospel and deny Knowledge Of HIM to their congregations.

Context is Everything

It is erroneous to take a verse, read it without its context, and then attempt to develop a doctrine from that verse alone. Therefore, let's take a look at the context of James 2:24 which says that a man is justified by works. James chapter 2 has 26 verses: Verses 1-7 instruct us not to show favoritism. Verses 8- 13 are comments on the Law. Verses 14-26 are about the relationship between faith and works.

Notice that James begins this section by using the example of someone who says he has faith, verses 14. He then immediately gives an example of what true and false faiths are. He begins with the negative and demonstrates what an empty faith is (verses 15-17). Then he gives an example of the type of faith that isn't much different from the faith of demons (verse 19). Finally, he gives examples of living faith by showing Abraham and Rahab as the type of people who demonstrated their faith by their deeds.

James is examining two kinds of faith: one that leads to godly works and one that does not. One is true, and the other is false. One is dead, the other alive; hence, "Faith without works is dead," (James 2:20).

This is why in the middle of his section on faith and works, he says in verse 19, "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder." James says this because the demons believe in God, that is, they have faith, but the faith they have is useless. It does not result in appropriate works. Their faith is only a mental acknowledgment of God's existence.

Ascentia and Fiducia

Two words are worth introducing here: ascentia and fiducia. Ascentia is the mental assent, the mental acknowledgment of something's existence. The demons acknowledge and believe that God exists. Fiducia is more than mental acknowledgment. It involves a trust in something, a giving over to it, a complete believing and acceptance of something. This is the kind of faith that a Christian has in Christ. A Christian, therefore, has fiducia; that is, he has real faith and trust in Christ, not simply an acknowledgment that He lived on earth at one time. Another way to put this is that there are many people in the world who believed that Jesus lived: ascentia. But they do not believe that He is their savior, the one to whom they should look and trust for the forgiveness of their sins.

Ascentia does not lead to works. Fiducia does. Ascentia is not of the heart. Fiducia is.

What is James Saying?

James is simply saying that if you ‘say' you are a Christian, then there had better be some appropriate works manifested or your faith is false. This sentiment is echoed in 1 John 2:4 which says, "If you say you have come to know Him, yet you do not keep His commandments, then the truth is not in you and you are a liar."

Apparently, there were people who were saying they were Christians, but were not manifesting any of the fruit of Christianity. Can this faith justify? Can the dead ‘faith' that someone has which produces no change in a person and no good works before men and God be a faith that justifies? Absolutely not. It is not merely enough to say you believe in Jesus. You must actually believe and trust in Him. If you actually do, then you will demonstrate that faith by a changed and godly life. If not, then your profession is of no more value than the same profession of demons: "We believe Jesus lived."

Notice that James actually quotes the same verse that Paul uses to support the teaching of justification by faith in Rom. 4:3. James 2:23 says, "and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘and Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.'" If James was trying to teach a contradictory doctrine of faith and works than the other New Testament writers, then he would not have used Abraham as an example.

Therefore, we are justified by faith. That is, we are made righteous in the eyes of God by faith as is amply demonstrated by Romans. However, that faith, if it is true, will result in deeds appropriate to salvation. After all, didn't God say in Eph. 2:8-10, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Friend, are you telling me, that you absolutely, keep the commandments of God, meaning you are without sin? That you do not sin?

To keep the commands does not mean to live a life without sin...... it means to guard the Word of the Most High....the Word, which is the Torah, made flesh in Messiah.

to guard the Word, means to keep it in our foreheads, and on our right hand....As Messiah is the right arm of the Father, so should we keep and guard His Word closely in our hearts and minds, and by our deeds.

Let us also be mindful in the middle east in the messiah time and from creation the day started from the setting of the sun in the evening and ends at the setting of the sun the following evening.

ededed

Many say that all days are holy and it does not matter what day you chose as the shabbat

Some say it is the first day SUNDAY IS THE HOLY DAY

Can anyone prove this biblically and show scriptures to support this view?

If you can I will definitely change and follow what the bible says
 Quoting: Neim-Ya'shar

Exodus 16:22-24

On the sixth day they gathered twice as much for tomorrow is the day of sabbath rest.

Now go to any calendar that shows the days of the week. What is the last day of the week represented on that calendar?

And if you say Sunday you are wrong......

We declare Him by being His disciple......and to be a disciple means to follow His way. And His Way is the loving instructions of the Father.... which is His Word.

Btw, the bolded red part above? It's not directed to the new breed of christians that christians think it is...... it is a direct quote from Psalms, written by the man after the Father's own heart......

14:1-4 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no YaHuWaH .” They have done corruptly, They have done an abominable deed, There is no one who does good. 2 YaHuWaH looked down from the heavens on the sons of mankind, To see if there is a wise one, seeking YaHuWaH . 3They have all turned aside, They have together become filthy; No one is doing good, not even one. 4Have all the workers of wickedness no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on

53:1-4 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no Elohim.” They have done corruptly, And they have done abominable unrighteousness; No one does good. 2Elohim looked down from the heavens on the children of men, To see if there is a wise one, seeking Elohim. 3They have all turned aside; They have together become filthy; No one is doing good, not even one. 4Have the workers of wickedness no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on Elohim?

Re: DID A CHRISTIAN BROTHER OR SISTER FIND THE ANSWER? FEW VERY FEW.THREAD UPDATED WITH THE ANSWER
the whole faith vs works thing has been done to death on glp. we have really no idea how people live in real life. and the works people never agree on which works need to be done and how

we must each of us be fully convinced in our own mind. not doubleminded not lacking in faith.

we can each of us boldly approach the throne of grace and find help in our time of need. God's mercy is there for each of us who wish for it. with prayer and supplication we make our requests known to God. we humble ourselves before Him and He lifts us up.

we cannot please everybody. so we must strive to please God. we were created for His good pleasure. anyone who's tried to live a life pleasing to God for any amount of time, upon honest appraisal, will realize we still fall far short of His glory. even if we stop sins of commission if that's possible there are myriad sins of ommission. we become exhausted.

this is why we rest in Him. Jesus said come to Me all who are heavy laden I will give you rest. ;)

this rest is available to all of us who seek it -- 24/7 ... I need me some ;)

thanks everyone for an interesting discussion

love rb
