While this doctrine can be quite difficult to comprehend and thus, accept, biblical doctrine is not determined by emotion or philosophy, but rather by the exegesis of the text. God’s Word is true regardless if one accepts or rejects it (cf. 2 Tim. 3:16). [link to christiandefense.org] |

Quoting: TheCreepygeek Care to share? I remember mine. I was about 10 years old. My dad who was an alcoholic come home one night from the pub and explained to me that because I never got christened/Baptised I was going to hell! From that moment on I took an interest in Religion. Its dark past. Its beginning & realised my father was wrong. I'm not going to Hell because it doesn't exist. dont take it out on yourself, you got false info. In John 8:24 Jesus declared: “For if you should not believe that I am [ego eimi] you will perish in your sins” [link to christiandefense.org] |

Bible's don't contain a God's words. They contain words from men who say God spoke to them. Instead of believing those words perhaps you should ask yourself. "Are these words coming from False prophets?" As for Hell. That was conceived to get sheep in line in this life through manipulation & fear. I don't fear God nor Hell. You know why? Its because I don't believe in them. |

About 9-10 after questioning a priest about all the many strange contradictions in the bible and other polarised religious text at sunday school..but especially when talking about the bipolar nature of the universe (and this apperent invisible god thingy clealry apparent inability to deal or take positive control of it...but the final point was when suggesting that if the dark void existed before apparently this god thingy surfaced to create light, life and meaning..it would actually mean (if true) that the devil (or percieved lord of darkness) was actually the first ( and therefore the father of god..who rebelled to create the universe)....they could never rationally answer, but I still read many religious texts over the years but all are stupid, elitist and hierarchally deluded..prefer accepting the infinite bipolar universe for all it's natural chaos and wonder.... |
