I'm not even sure he knew what he was tapping into to the full extent. He seems like an ordinary guy in documentaries! Quoting: Eggifer Watch the videos posted here and listen to the audio feeds. They hold lots of dot connecting info. The stuff about Saturn is the most interesting IMO. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5686610 okay that sounds great from a male perspective, but what about how those girls felt, that is where the real horror is, them having to submit, slave-like to the abuses or whatnot of these elite men. you are obviously not a women, and couldn't perceive the control, fear and horror that was going on. believe me when i tell you, those women don't want to be there or fuck those men cuz it's hot, no they are slaves and make no mistake, THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE THERE!!! AND I WILL ADD THAT I'M NO GOODY GOODY...i've enjoyed 3-somes, 4-somes and even an orgy, i wanted to be there w/ my peers enjoying myself in a healthy way. that is NOT the same as what we saw expressed in "eyes wide shut". i was sickened for days after seeing it becuz i knew these groups really exist and are doing that to women/men. That was me. Not sure we're on the same page. I haven't had threesomes, foursomes or orgies. Yes, I am male, yes, I thought the woman were very hot, and not sure how you knew they were "slaves," or even there against their will. I despise any exploitation of others, male or female. I would like to know, with that film in particular, what "evidence" you have that they were slaves, or there against their will...sincerely, perhaps I missed something. From reading this thread, and following many links, I have come to learn that a major "hatchet job" was done on the film so perhaps much was lost. Of course I am sure "secret societies" exist that exploit woman. Hell, just take a look at various areas of every major US city... I just didn't get that they were slaves....perhaps I'll take another look |

Kubrick was the exception, he was thinking 20 moves ahead. |

By removing these scenes, it leads everyone to subconsciously conclude, "Well, the elites aren't really doing anything morally wrong, they're just doing what I would do if I were rich, having wild sex parties etc." They removed all the elements of something much darker, and Kubrick paid the price for his attempt to disclose this information with his life. I can't recall where I read this because I've read alot on the subject, but there is a compelling case for this. I probably spoke too authoritatively on this matter, that statement is just my opinion based upon what I've seen and read. F F S User ID: 1430651 United Kingdom 05/11/2012 08:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The fact that he changed the endings of a lot of what he adapted is very significant I agree. Steven King hated Kubrick's adaptation of The Shining - the ending especially is much darker than the book, which is already a horror novel. And in the book A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, the ending is completely different. Alex just grows out of his violent phase and mellows out. In the film, it's much more cynical and creepy with a ginning Alex "restored" to his original psychopathic condition by the corrupted "state". Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1464492 Another interesting thing to note is that he refused to put his name on Arthur Clarke's version of 2001, in order to preserve the originality of his interpretation as expressed in the movie. Forgive if i'm wrong but isn't 2001 inspired by Arthur C Clarkes short story about the monolith on the moon |

He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667. |
