Earthquake activity in New Brunswick

I'm not getting part of the article title "no one knows why."

I lived on the ME/NB border in 1984 and felt the 5.7. Shortly after that, the Bangor Daily News reported on a newly discovered fault(?).

I wish I had time to look it up. I'm not surprised about the swarm, though. Some faults that have gotten little to no attention seem to be waking up.
