The thing that bothers me most is the absolute silence. What channel can you tune to for relevant info?

Most of the facts currently spewed about Vostok and it's water analysis are questionable at best...

A million year old pristine water sample was taken from Lake Vostok over two months ago.

Google gets you nothing past the middle of February.

How many months does it take to analyze a water sample?

So, what was in that water sample they don't want to disclose?

It took them many years to drill that hole, they certainly aren't going to rush anything now.

They are going to write their papers, there will be a press release when they get published.
Until then the data is all theirs.

Last night I was reading the Hopi Indian beliefs about Mother Earth and the birthing of the new world, or the new earth.
Theres so much that describes the laboring of the earth, the birthing process..
and when Lake Vostok has this 'sterile' water, like the water that breaks when a woman gives birth... well, there you go.

Antartica is the birth canal/vagina if you will.

What the scientists did by drilling that hole into the ice was akin to a woman getting stabbed by a needle into her womb.

So, thinking like an Indian or a woman who just got stabbed, I'm guessing that Mother Earth is on the crankytrain to PaybacksVille.

I agree that something is wrong here. My daughter has a bachelors in biology and commented that with current tech, we should have an accurate analysis of this water sample within hours, not months.

A few cliff notes from this thread:

They were very close to the change of seasons, and had to leave. They will likely not be able to even get a proper sample until the next summer season. It will be some time before anything will be released, but not due to any conspiracy, just weather.

This is important! It's like everything else of importance though, the MSM will touch on it briefly then distract us with more important "news" like Lindsay Lohen's next court appearance!

Lake Vostok, suddenly the most silent subject on the internet.

Must have been something unplanned for, otherwise they would have had something to present to the public, fabricated or otherwise... Russians are only too aware of the overly elaborate Western dis-info campaigns though, and they may be calling the shots on this one, in withholding with no explanation.

It reminds me of the saying, "Truth is often stranger than fiction".

You realize that no one is at Lake Vostok right now don't you?

They managed to get the sample just before the winter set in.
They will analyze the samples for as long as they can before they put out any info. They essentially have a monopoly on the data about it so there is no need for them to hurry.

An unbiased analysis of Lake Vostok water will conclude...

They said it's going to take like a year to have the water extracted and analyzed.

Lake Vostok is in Antarctica.
The Russian science team managed to drill down to it just before the winter set in at Antarctica.
No one will be able to get back there until November or December.

They have what ever samples there are of the submerged lake. No one else has any sample. They will take their time and only give out info when it is advantageous for them.

They probably drank it by mistake thinking it was vodka.

So, an analysis of the 40 liters of pristine water extracted from vostock will be announced at the leisure of a russian science team?
