Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14641541 Google gets you nothing past the middle of February. How many months does it take to analyze a water sample? It took them many years to drill that hole, they certainly aren't going to rush anything now. Quoting: Halcyon Dayz, FCD They are going to write their papers, there will be a press release when they get published. Until then the data is all theirs. Last night I was reading the Hopi Indian beliefs about Mother Earth and the birthing of the new world, or the new earth. Quoting: Old hag of the desert 1439176 Theres so much that describes the laboring of the earth, the birthing process.. and when Lake Vostok has this 'sterile' water, like the water that breaks when a woman gives birth... well, there you go. Antartica is the birth canal/vagina if you will. What the scientists did by drilling that hole into the ice was akin to a woman getting stabbed by a needle into her womb. Not nice. So, thinking like an Indian or a woman who just got stabbed, I'm guessing that Mother Earth is on the crankytrain to PaybacksVille. Or, maybe when she births, the new earth will be unleashed & gushed with ________. And then, ____________________. Fill in the blanks. What they end up finding and what the actually tell the public wont be the same. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14956737 From a NATO official: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10363614 “You know, they have classified Lake Vostok. They took it away from JPL who were monitoring it. Are you familiar with Lake Vostok in Antarctica? Under the ice in Antarctica there is a fresh-water lake deep, deep down under the ice, that’s 100 miles long and 50 miles wide. Fresh water. The temperature in the damn lake is about 65 degrees, which is pleasant swimming, you might say. “But at the end of Lake Vostok is what’s known as a gigantic masscon—a mass concentration of metal, very similar to the masscons they discovered on the Moon — a gigantic, circular-shaped, metallic object deep under the ice at the end of Lake Vostok. The National Security Agency took it away from JPL. It’s one of the most sensitive things in the world now, the anomaly at the end of the lake. It’s now classified, top secret.” |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15681209 Nothing new past the middle of february that I saw. I agree that something is wrong here. My daughter has a bachelors in biology and commented that with current tech, we should have an accurate analysis of this water sample within hours, not months. Here are the current (two month old) front page news stories related to lake vostok: [link to news.discovery.com] [link to news.discovery.com] [link to www.bbc.co.uk] [link to www.foxnews.com] [link to news.nationalgeographic.com] So, the info is two months old. What's up with that? |

Must have been something unplanned for, otherwise they would have had something to present to the public, fabricated or otherwise... Russians are only too aware of the overly elaborate Western dis-info campaigns though, and they may be calling the shots on this one, in withholding with no explanation. It reminds me of the saying, "Truth is often stranger than fiction". |
