I live in Louisiana and fish the waters regularly. I never go out into the Gulf per say, but the waters are pretty much connected. I bait cast for live shrimp and have never seen anything like this. I've never seen any mutated fish or anything like that. In fact the fish have been amazing. They come up nice, clean, and healthy looking. I've also seen people on here talking about crawfish and people need to realize crawfish do not come from the Gulf. Crawfish live in freshwater, not saltwater. I will continue to fish these waters and enjoy every minute of it. I will continue to eat the seafood I catch and I'm not going to worry about it. You can worry about it all you want, but truthfully, I'm out on those waters almost every weekend and its beautiful. Barrier islands that were affected by the spill are recovering and animal life is starting to return (seen it with my own eyes). Grass that was oil staind and dead is growning again and look to be fighting back. Yes there is still oil in spots and the corexit does worry me sometimes but I figure it cant be any worse than whats been dumped in the waters for years and years. I'm thinking about going fishing in Hopedale this weekend should be good fun and hopefully great fishing. I mean whats going to kill me first....corexit? radiation (Fuku), solor flares, huge tsunami, earthquake, aliens????? Live your life and enjoy it while you can people. If these reports were true wouldn't people be dying or sick by now? ALOT of people fish these waters and I dont know anybody that has been sick or died from eating seafood in the gulf. If you know of sick people please let me now and it can't be from some foreign website.

This thread has inspired me to have the house special Lo Mein for lunch, which is all seafood, YUM! and an egg roll :)

I love the all you can eat Asian buffet down the street...I set up camp at the peel & eat shrimp section...I consider "all you can eat" to be a challenge, although recently they changed the sign to "all you care to eat"

A friend of mine isn't allowed in there anymore...he's a rather large fellow as you can imagine, and they didn't kick him out for wasting food either. Now we go to the casino on seafood night, but it's like $24.95 each :)
