If you do some research, you will see that several gay men died probably to keep Obama's "secret". Also, being in the closet, opens one up to blackmail. Also, the American people, whatever they think of gays, should have the right to know who they are voting for - what his history is, what his beliefs are, what his practices are as all these will probably influence what he does in office.
