I was running outside in a storm a couple nights ago and heard a horn like sound, but it was brief and different. Couldnt help but think of this viral. phenomenon.

Actually this adds credence to it being real because that would be the built in noise cancellation in the original recording doing that.

I am in Illinois. I have "thought" I heard something one time but it was brief and did not happen again, so I could not verify that I actually heard it.

On the other hand, when I showed these noise/videos to my two teens a few months ago, they both looked at each other wide eyed and said "That is exactly what we heard that night!" I asked them what the heck they were talking about because they never told me. They said they just dismissed it as weird and never thought to tell me until they heard it on the video. They said it sounded like the sound of train wheels when they are screeching on the metal rails, but very loud as if it was right on top of the house. Very metallic.

So I don't know. I really wish I would hear something like this as verification because honestly, there are a lot of Hoax-sters out there, but I think there are WAY too many to discount all of them.

I have a close friend in florida that also heard those strange noises in her own neighborhood.

How the heck would I know exactly where in oregon? I don't know this lady personally, I know just as much about it as you do.

it is funny how you never see any of these videos with alot of people all standing lookin up an scratching their heads.it is always no one around usually in the muddle of nowhere.

I can't find anything about the Oregon sounds. I still don't think she's lying, but how come no one else said anything about it? Unless there are only five people that lived in that area. I would think the police would have been called.

Sounds very metallic. Not a natural sound at all. Almost as if it were manufactured somehow.

I live in Oregon and sit outside most every night to smoke a cigarette 5-6 times a night for 15-20 minute intervals, I have my window open constantly and have become very attuned to any kind of odd noise, I live in the country and when I hear any noise I can distinguish what its coming from, may it be an owl, raccoon, or just the wind blowing. I have never heard anything close to that at any volume, I avidly follow the strange noise compilations and do not doubt that they are really there. What I do believe is that most all of them come from the city or near a city. Most cities have vast underground sewage systems and/or tramlines, and when a gust of wind gets sucked into the mouth of an opening of a tunnel or a sewage drain, it tends to make an odd sound reverberating throughout the whole of the cavern system. If you go hiking to a cave and travel within, these types of sounds are very common. Since 2012 though you would have to be a fool not to see how much the "apocalypse" has been coming into trend more than normally. Everything revolves about the world ending these days, whether it be movies, music, or video games. Most every type of media is promoting it so people are going to be reporting any kind of strange occurrence, even if they have lived with the noises for a while, putting them off thinking they are something normal, which they most likely are, now they are going to report anything though from a dead fish in a river to any kind of abnormal noise. An alternative view on the sounds may be some sort of drilling. Whether it be for some kind of bunker, or a new septic tank.

This just makes my headache worst.
