You did not allow yourselves to become trapped in here - you were captured and put into the machine by force.

Kali and I, on the other hand, assumed disguises and tricked the Annu into capturing us and putting us in here with the rest of you - we were the Trojan Horses and this machine was the Troy. It was the only way we could successfully destroy the machine without destroying all of you in the process.

Unfortunately (and it is very sorrowful when you think about it ) nothing you have done, experienced, or known in all of your lives here were all illusion. The only thing you have actually experienced here in the machine is communication and dialogue...the rest was all just a part of the illusion.
