When I turned on the trial, I was surpised at how dark his complexion was versus the pictures I have seen online. Have a lot of those images been Photoshopped?

No, my kid who is half white half Hispanic says she is an Oreo. As she is brown on the outside and acts white, so white on the inside. She is very pale when out of the sun and gorgeous color when even lightly tanned. She once went to a white makeup sales lady who told her she was wearing the 'wrong color of lipstick.' As her pink Caucasoid lips were confusing the woman with her bronzed tinged native tan.
