'House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
on Thursday endorsed a movement announced by
other congressional Democrats on Wednesday to
ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when
it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to
individuals.'



'The constitutional amendment the Democrats seek would reverse the Supreme Court’s 2010 decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In that decision the court said that the First Amendment protects a right of free speech for corporations as well as for individuals, and that corporations (including those that produce newspapers, films and books) have a right to speak about politicians and their records just as individuals do.'

underscoring the fact that the administration had wanted the
court to allow the government to prohibit political speech.
"The government urges us in this case to uphold a direct prohibition on political speech," wrote Roberts. "It asks us to embrace a theory of the First Amendment that would allow censorship not only of television and radio broadcasts, but of pamphlets, posters, the Internet, and virtually any other medium that corporations and unions might find useful in expressing their views on matters of public concerns."'

This would directly affect everyone who pays Social Security tax. If you have a SSN, you are a corporation. This is clearly seen, when you investigate the process to declair yourself a sovereign citizen.

See...what happens here is the idea that every single talk show, radio show, news cast, newspaper, rallies put on by media moguls, etc...would now be censored from ever mentuioning political statements unless those statements were 'approved' by Washington. Rush, Mark Levin, NPR, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, Daily Show, Wolf Blitzer, Etc...all would be off the air. Of course...most of what they talk about now aint worth listening to any way.

Manipulate? I don't think that's what they do. Influence...yes. You say they shouldn't be able to influence voting...why not? Certain people, certain businesses and certain corporations have political agendas and bias. It's part of their rights. You might as well end all campaigning period. Then we'll never know who anybody is or where they allegedly stand on important issues! If you don't agree with your business, corporation or other people, then exersize YOUR right to vote any damn way you choose!

If this ends up happening...I think I will simply surrender my hope that there are enough in this country to force Obama out of the white house. Our constitution allows for the people to control the government...why are we not embracing that right???
