What products do you miss?

Two of my faves were tahiti treat and a candy called bonkers.

Idk why they stopped selling them in Canada.

What are some of your favorite products no longer available?

Remember Furby's? Little fury talking animals, used to scare tha fuck outta me. Thing used to turn on by itself at night and say some weird shit.

They made a killin off those Chia-pet's too, don't think I can ever be as excited to try and watch a plant grow like when I was a kid.

I thought of two more shampoos I really miss. In addition to Faberge Wheat Germ and Honey:

Lemon Up. For oily hair. Came in a lemon yellow bottle with a lemon for the cap.

Psssssst. A spray that was mostly powder and it let you spot dry oily areas if you just had to go out and didn't have time for a proper shampoo. The commercial accented each and every s in the name: P S SS SS ST.

And back to candy, there were "Records." For a penny you got a roll of ribbon licorice wrapped around a little red dot of sugar candy in the center. It looked like a phonograph record. Not the best, mind you, as I was not into licorice all that much, but for a penny you got a lot of involvement with this candy.

Funny bones. Milk in glass bottles with cream on the top, that the milkman would leave on the doorstep. Vinyl LP's . Metal slinkys.

I miss Marathon candy bars and Buc Wheats cereal. Buc Wheats was the only cereal with added sugar we were allowed as children. lol

Ah those square cinnamon suckers. Those were great.


Other products I miss, and being a fix-it/ mechanic type, I miss the good products that really worked. Carburator cleaners that really worked, R12 refrigerant for car ac systems that worked very well, (lead) house paint that lasted for decades, asbestos that was a great insulator, Clothes detergents that worked so good that not only did they remove stains, but the color from the clothes given enough time.


But all that has changed, everything has been reformulated ro removed from the market. Thanks EPA

I forgot my most missed possession:

My Datsun 280ZX, a 2+2 with t-tops. I had two of them. The best car I ever drove.

One of these days I will find another!
