Hell is described not only as a fiery place of torment, but also as a separation from God and His saints, a place where there is continual torment.

What are the words that were mistranslated? Can you find them? I count at least 3. Hint they begin with "h" and end with "ell"

LAKE OF FIRE

Christ has the keys to death and hell which will ultimately have to give up its wicked dead for judgment. "Sheol" and "Hades" (the present hell) will then come to an end and "Gehenna" (the "Lake of Fire") will take its place.

Souls will burn forever there with no escape; this is the second death. The only escape from this fate is accepting Jesus as our Savior. He is the only one that has the keys of hell so we can be released from our prison of hell and condemnation.

Agree. I went back to Dublin for a few days recently for the first time in over 20 years to find a big change in Catholics. Ireland has gone from ultra religious god-fearing to anything goes, even amongst the most zealous conservative minded, like my aunties who prayed & went to mass daily, have turned their back on religion, disgusted at the peedo priest scandals, bribery, arms dealing, political interference etc. Good on them, they've finally woken up to smell the coffee.
I'm surprised then to find America & the rest of the religous world haven't followed suite to ditch religion altogether.

Hell and hellfire are realities according to God's Word and any that speak otherwise are in error and are promoting false doctrine. The only way to escape this dreaded place is becoming a child of God so we can go to heaven. It is man's sin that is leading him to hell. If we repent of our sin and ask Jesus to come into our heart we not only can be saved from the hell to come but also delivered from the hell in this earth.

Hell and hellfire aren't in the original documents and nothing close to the modern defintions of the word hell exists in the original documents. You are basing your belief on an erronious translation. Hell was translated from a host of different words from the original languages non of which mean eternal torment or annihilation. Do you test all things or are you an ignorant sheep?

The OP is right, hell is a metaphor for rebirth through fire, the fire is a spiritual fire, that fire is God's Holy Spirit

All the words in the bible that cause you to fear are not his work.

Simply put they were added by men to create an atmosphere of fear to control weak minds.

So go ahead and tell me to fear eternal fire and brimstone, that is your fear talking.

God will not bring you closer to him by scaring you into his kingdom.

Those passages are designed by Satan to scare you into submission to do whatever the Churches tell you.

Satan didn't just limit his work to outside the Bible, and to think "There's NO way The Devil can affect God's work" is actually denying what the Bible says, even the Bible alludes to false teachings in the first five books, Jesus scolded the scribes for keeping certain secrets hidden, even the last passage in the Bible was designed to make you afraid to not believe every single word.

(1) The second chance view – After death there is still a way to escape hell.

Not true. Why is that so important for Jesus to show, so many Christians and near death people around the world that Hell is a very real place. Jesus warns the people about Hell and he did not design it for people. But if you don’t believe in God and Jesus that is the place you will go to.
Be warn this is serious stuff Hell is a bad place where people been tormented for eternity that is the sad thing. You will never get a chance to get out there. Hell is forever. We can't go against Gods judgment. We are there to obey God and do how He said we must do it. He wants children that are obedient to Him in Heaven. And that is the only people who will enter Heaven. The person who love God, and people that is obedient to His Holy Word. Surly we cant go against such a Mighty God. Who are we?
