Strange idea...could they be tombs buried upright with a face exposed above ground as markers for their returning ancestors? I believe every statue faces east but I am not certain.

This was quite interesting when it was out a couple of years ago on the interwebs.

The body language of the statue point to submissive or a slave standing in front of its master, Chin high body straight and hands out front crossed to show no deception.

Why build statue of your self like this? Something must have scared them to prove they were slaves to who or what ever ruled them. Sort of a final sos that we are yours

Why now??

Why haven't they started digging these statues like when "they" had discovered them.. I always wondered how could these statues still be standing if they where put as heads on top of soil?? (Everyone will know, it doesn't work that way) There has to be a foundation...

So know they have started digging down the rabbit hole.
Hopefully it will uncover some really amazing new discoveries etc..

the trees were used as the molds..they got rubber from south america to line the molds with...they used the "plants that soften stone from south america" to mix with ground up material for casting and re-hardening the mixture back into solid form...crystal skulls are made the same way...its a plant chemistry/concrete thang...the blocks of the pyramids were made that way...blocks in 'quarries" and paintings of giant blocks/giant statues etc dragged/hauled were misdirection from the ancient mason secret of pouring everything then the mold lines were polished away from statues, temples,pyramids,etc after the mixture re-hardened...nothing was carved,(except the wooden molds which were later destroyed)they were all cast and re-hardened ,,the vatican is the last civilization to take away all the public records of the masonic process,they are the recent library of Alexandria,hiding the process...seafaring trade existed long before the history books say...no aliens,no super tools just plant chemistry,rubber lined carved wooden molds,and whatever ground material you wanted to work with...

P.S ..the vatican used germ warfare(sent carriers of diseases to the other civilzations who were not immune when they wanted to end trade) to take the leaders out who knew about the 'secrets' who would not summit to the "Christian/roman" churches rule ,then the civilizations fell in decline as the younger generation didn't retain the knowledge...the vatican/romans also took the other civilizations starcharts/myths used to travel on the seas and branded them "devil" papers to hold the monopoly on sea trade and commence...but nobody would know that,lol...

this is a bunch of hand triangles being made.
what i notice is that they are all made in the stomach area, heart area and above the head.

not the same pose as the easter island statues.

The photo in the OP's link is from the book "Easter Island: The Mystery Solved" by Thor Heyerdahl. It came out in 1989, in case anyone is interested in reading it.
