I use it on my eyelashes too- it seems to slow down the normal shedding and they look great. It doubles as a good moisturizer when I'm using it around my eyes. I became interested in castor oil due to my own hair loss. I am a female and began losing hair at the hairline at the top of my forehead about a year and a half ago. The thing about hair loss is that it can be caused by MANY different things. Poor diet, thyroid issues, tubal ligation, nutritional deficiencies and illness are just a few. Getting a nutritional profile done by your doctor would be the first thing you would want to check out.

With that being said, I started using castor oil on my hair almost daily about 2 months ago and then slowed down as I noticed a "build up". I haven't used it in about a month. My shedding stopped but I do use a shampoo that is way outside of my usual natural remedies called Zincon. It has sulfates in it (which many people avoid) but it has helped with other issues like smelly scalp, scalp pain and itching. I did start using this at the same time as the castor oil so I can't be sure that it was the castor oil that stopped the shedding and itching. I have tried apple cider vinegar and peroxide topically which I still use for its conditioning effect but that did not stop the shedding. I tried borax and several different essential oils without success.

After finding something that works for you, it will generally take up to a year of you treating the problem in order to see REGROWTH. I mostly only use natural remedies so I can't comment on things like Rogaine. I do know that castor oil has made my eye lashes and eyebrows thicken up (I don't use anything else on them).

Sorry if I haven't been much help but hair loss, like I said, can be caused by a plethora of issues and trying to treat it without having your nutritional profile and thyroid checked is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. If you are a woman who has had their tubes tied, I recommend you seek getting that reversed if your hair is important enough to you to go that far because MANY women experience hair loss after getting their tubes tied and from the information I have found their hair often starts growing back after a reversal. No its true. If you aere female the same applies although you can still masturbate but don't ram more than three fingers deep inside you to avoid over stretching and dihydrotestosterone buildup. Similar for males, you can still tamper with it just don't squeeze it so hard.

This is gonna sound strange, but I use olive oil in my hair. It really strengthens the hair, and is good for the scalp. It's a trick I learned from Italians; they all have pretty good hair.

Castor oil doesnot work instead it fucks up with your hair leading to more hair loss!

Start taking Finasteride - which blocks DHT. I have for years now. I havent lost any more hair, in fact probably got a little thicker since. Dont expect much regrowth though, but youll most likely keep your hair. Some people report side effects from the drug, but i never have..

Rogaine/Regaine/Minoxidil i heard DOES work, but im too scared to try it. I started applying it once but started shedding hair like crazy! Way too scary to continue any longer than a week. I read that this is natural and that the hair follicles are changing phase to make way for stronger, healthier hair. Perhaps, but its just not for me. Plus there are side effects from that shit too.

Those are the two most common used chemicals that have any type of effect on the pharmaceutical market.

But lately ive been using American Crew Hair Thickening shampoo, which is really awesome.. use a good conditioner after and your hair just inflates almost! Ive also heard about other shampoos that work well.

Lately ive also been using a good pure olive oil in my hair and on my scalp over night. Works really well. Makes my hair stronger and softer. Ive also heard coconut oil works really well too, but im yet to try that stuff.

I would just recommend Finasteride though - eating really well. Stop eating junk, stop drinking alcohol, and i think stop masturbating too. Oh cut that shit right down. Its bad for you anyways.

Rogaine works but it gave me tachycardia which then led to fainting and panic attacks. But the results were great I just can't fucking use it. If it doesn't give you any bad effects go for it. I just had to resign myself and go for the buzz cut.

Use pure Rosemary and Cedarwood essential oils.

I don't know if castor oil cures baldness, but I know for a fact it cures constipation.

It's kind of annoying sometimes when people ask about male pattern baldness solutions and people come with advice for strengthening their hair, or women come with tips for making hair healthier or whatever. When people talk about hair loss they mean going bald, as in male alopecia, male pattern baldness, genetic male hair loss etc, not having unhealthy hair or a bit less density due to stress etc. Learn the difference.

But I stopped using it and it reverted back. Then when I tried to go back to using it I realized it had been causing me health problems so I had to just forget about it and just shave it all off.

Let me explain this ... there is information out there, that if you look, tells you the best way to stop hair loss is to block the convergenceof testosterone to DHT. If you do this, you WILL be sorry. This is a massive "science" argument out there, but the bottom line is you do NOT want to block this convergence. You may get away with it for awhile because you are young, but your prostate is going to suffer in the long run.

Lose your hair like we all did ... it part of the dht picture.

There are supplements out there, like L-Arginine, they tell you to take. Arginine stops the convergence to dht - NOT a good move. Others are:

Tumeric curcumin

saw palmetto

n-acetyl cystine

coconut oil

nettle root

l-citrulline converts to l-arginine (see above).
