You're right. The obvious truth is that Martin was about to propose to his girlfriend 8 different times. And if she said no, he was going to stab her with the screwdriver.
It's all so clear now.

ESPECIALLY when said items were found directly after having vandalized school property. If you can't understand that, you're dim-witted. again....
