Fukushima is Falling Apart: Are You Ready? - U.S. Senator visits and reports back... | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 14970111 Japan 04/24/2012 11:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Atom Boy, you keep changing your stripes all the time. One moment you try your utmost to divert attention away from Fukushima all the while telling us, via links to TEPCO reports etc, that "its not getting any worse" over there. Its also strange that now there are some AC's joining the fray who are apparently located in Japan. Some of your friends? Lastly AB, your English keeps changing in quality. Sometimes you write phrases that are like reading a cut up sesame street book, and the next post you write as though you forgot to edit your post in order to make it less fluent. Just cut the crap would ya? I dont know what the hell you and your buddies are trying to achieve, however it appears as though one of your aims is discrediting CP. Its pretty obvious and also pretty lame. Anyone can do their own bloody research and see for themselves that things are NOT fucking A.O.K and yes indeed, there is a certain level of concern that we should all have. It infuriates me to see people, even in this thread, trying to downplay the situation with arrogant attitudes to boot. And whats your problem SHR? The first paragraph was fine, then you went south. You sound pretty bloody cocky about your personal ability to clarify the situation and shed some golden light on it. Man, your post really pissed me off. What are you on about!? Telling us in the same sentence that you can provide a rational take on the situation and then the next breath... "Radioactive particulates are very dangerous however they also exist all around us and we are exposed to many every single day of our lives just by nature itself". I would say that's really not a rational statement given the context. The threads about Fukushima are becoming a dirty cesspool quite quickly here on GLP, so much that for myself personally, I click them with a certain resignation and hope it hasn't been ripped down to a fucking schoolyard mudslinging match. Alot of fucking useless idiots spouting complete bullshit. (and sure, quote me on this then throw it back at me, probably justified). Just keep your mouths shut. Honestly...fucking kids. "Armchair" motherfuckn radiologists!!(congrats CP for having at least appeared to bite your tongue somewhat and stop eating the Japanese AC's bait, you were beginning to look just as petty as them). Fact is, it all boils down to a VERY fucking precarious situation. This has ALREADY affected us ALL, some in small ways and some people have flat out died, (sure, perhaps we cant PROVE that, but ffs...sometimes we cant link to the writing on the wall!) and will CONTINUE to do so for quite some time! I just wish we could maintain a decent discussion on this topic and remain focused on the situation at hand which is that a SHITLOAD of highly radioactive material is in a perilous situation, sitting on a "knifes edge" and it will take ALOT of effort (maybe a miracle) to swing things back into our favour, and by comparison, not much to push it over the abyss...which is not in our favour. when citizenperth shuts up, so will I, till then I will expose this trailer trash for what he really is, a lying, attention seeking, alcoholic with serious mental issues. We are not a gang working for Tepco, were are individuals who take offense to his lies and fear mongering. yesterday he was telling everyone in a another post that he puts torches up his ass to masturbate.Thats disgusting and i will not tolerate this piece of filth going on about a serious crisis that affects those around me. |

They will remain there until they die off. The spent rods will also sit there until they can be managed. The radiation coming from there is nothing but a distraction. Anonymous Coward User ID: 9533923 United States 04/24/2012 11:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its all DISinfo The truth is. We’d be lucky if we only had to worry about the spent fuel rods from a single holding pool. We’re not that lucky. The Fukushima Daiichi plant has seven pools for spent fuel rods. Six of these are (or were) located at the top of six reactor buildings. One “common pool” is at ground level in a separate building. Each “reactor top” pool holds 3450 fuel rod assemblies. The common pool holds 6291 fuel rod assemblies. [The common pool has windows on one wall which were almost certainly destroyed by the tsunami.] Each assembly holds sixty-three fuel rods. This means the Fukushima Daiichi plant may contain over 600,000 spent fuel rods. the top pool is 3450 x 63rods = 20,000+ rods in the smallest pool I hope you are on of the chosen to agree with Radiation |

ehecatl User ID: 14947227 Mexico 04/24/2012 11:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First of all one fuel rod containing 6% Plutonium would only have the "potential" to kill 2 billion plus people if you removed all the plutonium in it and had all 2.8 billion people line up to be directly injected with one 2.8 billionth of it. That's frikkin reatrded fear mongering and there are more deadly elements occuring in the earth naturally than exist in all those fuel rods which could kill the entire planet a million times over if you want to go down retard road and claim the same. So try to filter off the bullshit which always exist around this sort of disaster/accident/situation. Quoting: SHR That being said... This is without a doubt a very serious problem which has not and likely will not be going away anytime soon. It also does have the potential to get far worse then it is right now from what I can see. That also does not mean it's AN ELE RIGHT NOW GASP ZOMFG VOMIT FROM FEAR I JUST SHIT MYSELF! Running around like retards screaming death is imminent and feel the feeear! serves no purpose and only desensitizes people to whatever danger does exist. Radioactive particulates are very dangerous however they also exist all around us and we are exposed to many every single day of our lives just by nature itself. Maybe if I find the time I will write a thread and attempt to put some perspective on this mess and review the actions taken and the apparent lack of action as well as a rational take on the repercussions that do exist. Exactly, That is what many of the doom-tards don't even realize, this is ELE not because of a big dramatic explosion, but but rather by cancer and deadly mutations that will take decades to unfold, but could take out vast portions of the population. That is why it is so much more dangerous, because without all the drama, most people will be killed while ignoring or not knowing the truths. |
