Q: Let me ask you specifically about last week's scare here in Washington, and what we might have learned from how prepared we are to deal with that (inaudible), at B'nai Brith.

A: Well, it points out the nature of the threat. It turned out to be a false threat under the circumstances. But as we've learned in the intelligence community, we had something called -- and we have James Woolsey here to perhaps even address this question about phantom moles. The mere fear that there is a mole within an agency can set off a chain reaction and a hunt for that particular mole which can paralyze the agency for weeks and months and years even, in a search. The same thing is true about just the false scare of a threat of using some kind of a chemical weapon or a biological one. There are some reports, for example, that some countries have been trying to construct something like an Ebola Virus, and that would be a very dangerous phenomenon, to say the least. Alvin Toeffler has written about this in terms of some scientists in their laboratories trying to devise certain types of pathogens that would be ethnic specific so that they could just eliminate certain ethnic groups and races; and others are designing some sort of engineering, some sort of insects that can destroy specific crops. Others are engaging even in an eco- type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves.

The Feds are having major involvement with this. I think it's a cover story. We've been having booms and metor sightings in this area for the past couple days. I think something major is going down.

SIX HUNDRED bags of sulfur were spilled on the road.

The sulfur sparked a number of small fires on and next to the road.

[link to www.fresnobee.com]

Really?

First, why did SIX HUNDRED bags spill onto the road?

You'd think the driver of the ruck would have noticed there was a problem when even ONE bag of sulfur fell out of the truck.

Even IF SIX HUNDRED bags of sulfur did fall from a moving truck onto the road, I find it hard to believe that more than ten percent of the bags (SIXTY bags) broke open upon impact.

Of most concern with this story is the fact that sulfur, though a flammable substance, does not have a high level reaction to normal air or oxygen and will not combust on contact with either element.

One must also keep in mind that sulfur deposits are found naturally in areas around hot springs and in the majority of volcanic regions.

[link to wiki.answers.com]

Has Yosemite become volcanically active and the government is trying to keep knowledge of that development away from the public?

BTW, burning sulfur is often referred to as "Fire and Brimstone".

I thought trucks were not allowed to route through yosemite. Looking at the map, fish camp is south of the park and from what I see, very sharp turns. I would guess the trucker was going to fast for the curves and his bagged load tilted and over turned the rig and spilled all over.

Was the truck coming into yosemite or leaving. And whats sulfur used for in bulk bags in the middle of nowhere.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14197539

1. Sulfur is chemical in terms of transport and has special transport rules.
2. Driver will for sure not drive Mad Max on curves with it,(specially that every driver knows if something can drop and when..)
3. Soon in that area is predicted to start something..at least, sulfur poisoning.....

I don't buy this story either. A guy driving a truck full of toxic material was under the influence? What?? Does that make sense? Did that really look like 600 bags in the road to you? Also...why no mention of the driver other than he was intoxicated? He must have had extreme exposure to the sulphur when he jumped out of the truck. Did he suffer burns from inhalation? End up in the hospital? Is he ok? Where did he go?

Yes, it does.
This is how they cover their operations.
Look at Dodi Alfayed and Princess Diana....they fed BS that the driver was drunk when those who were there (before they were threated to shut up or else) said it was not true!
They tell you all the time when they shut people up that they committed suicide.
Read be-tween the lines....something most likely is up....just have to wait and see what they have planned to instill more FEAR. Fear keeps people imobilized and they can't think strait.
As you see them try to pull out all the stops, just know that we are one step closer to peace if we just DO NOT RE-ACT!

SIERRA FIREBALL DECODED: On Sunday morning, April 22nd, just as the Lyrid meteor shower was dying down, a spectacular fireball exploded over California's Sierra Nevada mountain range. The loud explosion rattled homes from central California to Reno, Nevada, and beyond. According to Bill Cooke, head of NASA's Meteoroid Envronment Office, the source of the blast was a meteoroid about the size of a minivan.

"Elizabeth Silber at Western University has searched for infrasound signals from the explosion," says Cooke. "Infrasound is very low frequency sound which can travel great distances. There were strong signals at 2 stations, enabling a triangulation of the energy source at 37.6N, 120.5W. This is marked by a yellow flag in the map below."

"The energy is estimated at a whopping 3.8 kilotons of TNT (about one fourth the energy of the 'Little Boy' bomb dropped on Hiroshima), so this was a big event," he continues. "I am not saying there was a 3.8 kiloton explosion on the ground in California. I am saying that the meteor possessed this amount of energy before it broke apart in the atmosphere. [The map] shows the location of the atmospheric breakup, not impact with the ground."

"The fact that sonic booms were heard indicates that this meteor penetrated very low in atmosphere, which implies a speed less than 15 km/s (33,500 mph). Assuming this value for the speed, I get a mass for the meteor of around 70 metric tons. Hazarding a further guess at the density of 3 grams per cubic centimeter (solid rock), I calculate a size of about 3-4 meters, or about the size of a minivan."

"This meteor was probably not a Lyrid; without a trajectory, I cannot rule out a Lyrid origin, but I think it likely that it was a background or sporadic meteor."

If this was a legitamate crash site, wouldn't the wrecked vehicle AND the driver have to undergo some sort of decontamination?

Com'on folks. Driver arrested for DUI, bags scattered along 1 mile of road on a curved road. Let's see here, could it be possible, given that the man was under the influence of alcohol that:

A. The idiot was on the wrong road or taking what he thought was a shortcut in his drunken state

B. Did not check the load to see if it was secure

C. was weaving on a curved road causing the bags to shift and fall off the truck. The bags were scattered over one mile of road

Makes a lot more sense than seeing some vast conspiracy here since sulfur is a pretty common soil additive used in farming, especially in California since minimal crop rotation practices have already used up the natural sulfur stores in those soils

Just saying!
