However, so far it looks like radiation levels have actually decreased. But I'm only detecting gamma and beta radiation. My meter is not capable of picking up alpha decays. Interesting, also according to the earlier thread on this subject the case for the mutations seem to be "Uncommon but not rare and it is not due to radiation its call "Fasciation" its a cellar mutation but its most often caused by a micro organism like a bacteria or insects." Direct quote from the previous thread issuing this subject. I will not rule anything out or care to freak out about anything until needed. |

It's their favorite food and USED to be good for them. The past two weeks it has rained a lot and yesterday when I was mowing I noticed the dandelions were different. They are almost spikey like thorns around the ends of the leaves so my kids can't eat those or they'll choke- not the the clover or anything isn't any better. WHY DID WE KILL THIS PLANET?!  Miggy |

This odd growth is called fasciation, which literally translates to banding or bundling. Fasciation is thought to be caused by a hormonal imbalance.
