Yeah, when you're wheeling a wheelbarrow full of money down the street to buy milk and cookies.

LOL!!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2978389

Just where do you think people are going to get wheelbarrows full of cash? With unemployment showing no signs of improvement and wages on the decline, soon people wont even be able to afford a 20 dollar wheelbarrow, let alone fill it with cash for milk and cookies.

This is another one of those magical facts that the hypertards think can't be argued. To them the future contains wheelbarrows full of cash for every man woman and child.

LOL!!!

Yes and circulation has been coming to a grinding halt, hence USD's strength and the high unemployment.

People are broke, the banks (foreign and domestic) and corporations were the recipients of all the funds and none of it went to the people of the country who are broke and not spending unless they're using the "new" money AKA credit/debt.

Still haven't looked-up logic in the dictionary eh?

Alright.

How will the Fed fix it's debt?

Good luck answering that question that doesn't involve inflating the currency supply into oblivion and doesn't make people erupt into laughter.

OK, I've done some basic figuring and here is what i have figured out.

Iran imports on average 557,000 barrels a day from China. That equals about 203,305,000 barrels a year.

At the current rate of $98.59 that is about $20,043,839,950 a year in US Dollars. crude figures but in the ballpark.

ok at $1636.00 an oz that come to about 12,251,735 oz a year.

China produces about 9,700,000 oz worth of gold a year,
 Quoting: AK001

to sum it up, China will have to import Gold to import Oil.

Sure, that's how they convert fiat paper dollar to gold. when they buy gold from the US, US is collecting the fiat paper it printed out of thin air then give China gold in exchange, someone please tell me that's a good deal for the US (we can't give tungsten forever can we )

How do they value the gold if they are not using the USD as the benchmark? Does this mean China will put its own price on the gold it is trading?
 Quoting: Neo81xxx

One oz of gold = x barrels of oil

Do you see a $ in this equation?
 Quoting: Corporal Klinger

Sorry but both gold and oil can be easily had with the correct amount of dollars.

Failure to consider how many $'s both trade in will open yourself to arbitrage traders who will do this for you as you become poor and they become rich :D

That would be a good deal for the US, but that's not what's going on. China is carefully guarding the USD reserves it has left. Once the debt liquidation phase kicks in full force, they'll start collecting US assets.

I was being sarcastic you putz.

That rock is the most sought after commodity in the world.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7340804

No it's a rock you've been tricked into valuing.

Your sarcasm is irrelevant gold is a rock, nothing changes that.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14087298

and paper is paper...your point???

shill
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1707881

The point is bills are due in USD's. Fail to pay the bill with USD's, and kiss everything you think you own goodbye. Sorry but there are not many paper dollars left out there, plenty of bills though! LOL
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14087298

This is the stupidest argument ever. That paper is ONLY worth something because it is backed by some private institution who has been around less than CENTURY (which is NOTHING compared to the course of history). America has TWO other central bank failures in the past (which no FED loving shill like yourself likes to talk about). The dollar is guaranteed to be worthless at some point. Gold on the other hand HAS ALWAYS had value. I won't play the normalcy bias card and say 'there is NO way gold will someday have way less or no value' but for the foreseeable future only an IDIOT would laugh at gold and favor paper. You are either living in complete denial or a FED shill. I'd like to think the former but believe it to be the latter.

"They are desperate..."

They are spending gold for oil because they are getting it at bargain prices from the morons in the West due to manipulation in the futures markets and the selling of Greece's/Libya's/IMF's/etc. gold into the market to further control price.

This is the same manipulation that the Fed is perpetrating to try and maintain dollar legitimacy and attempt to control the ascent of gold price (actually devaluation of paper currencies).

The Chinese have been divesting their holding of dollars and US Treasuries continually for years now to facilitate this. They could bring down the U.S. economy tomorrow but that would only leave them holding trillions in worthless paper, they'd rather game the system, get out slowly so as to avoid a panic/collapse scenario. The Chinese are not "dumping" gold. They are the world's largest gold producer, are buying hundreds of tons annually (officially, probably more clandestinely) and they are not selling an ounce to the rest of the world.

China doesn't use USD to quote spot. It trades and quotes in RMB per gram. But due to arbitrage, of course the RMB spot price is going to be at or very closely follow USD spot. And increasingly more, vice versa.
