Does this mean China will put its own price on the gold it is trading? Quoting: Neo81xxx One oz of gold = x barrels of oil Do you see a $ in this equation? Sorry but both gold and oil can be easily had with the correct amount of dollars. Failure to consider how many $'s both trade in will open yourself to arbitrage traders who will do this for you as you become poor and they become rich :D I would rather have a pocket full of gold than a pocket full of fiat dollars that will be subjected to QE infinity! And you will be singing a different tune when the day of reckoning occurs. Sorry sir your bill is due in $$'s we don't accept rocks here. LOL!!! I'll toss a little hint your way. QE to infinity doesn't mean the dollar becomes worthless. |

Iran imports on average 557,000 barrels a day from China. That equals about 203,305,000 barrels a year. At the current rate of $98.59 that is about $20,043,839,950 a year in US Dollars. crude figures but in the ballpark. ok at $1636.00 an oz that come to about 12,251,735 oz a year. China produceds about 9,700,000 oz worth of gold a year, |

I think this is exactly why the Stait of Hormuz is so important since that's how Iran's oil is shipped to asia. We should be looking at that, because what I think is happening is that the u.s. doesn't want the BRICs to develop and that's why the u.s. is also building up offensive weaponry around Russia to tie up their functioning. I'm sure teh u.s. would be tickled pink to have strategic weapons aimed at us from canada, mexico, cuba...but OH NO, the u.s. assumes proprietary first dibs on everything. I really want to see what Russia does in response to this. |
