Study finds that waiters see blacks as rude, picky, and bad tippers

One of my favorites when working as a waiter.....

"YO! diss food be too hot! If I gets burned I will sue yo raggedy ass resturunt! Take it back to da kitchen!"

took it to the wait station & brought it back 10 mins. later.....oh yeah....no tip either for a table of 7......

I've been in the business for 25 years....even black servers don't like waiting on black people. 2nd worse tippers....church people on wed and Sunday. In the kitchen....any steak over medium is refered to as an african american because black people don't like rare to medium beef.....then it gets sent back as too tough. Like one post said...we let it sit for a minute then send it back out.

100% true!!! When i worked as a server, we would have fights in the kitchen as to who was going to get stuck taking the table of blacks. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!!

I've worked restaurants, and as a pale face I can tell you that white pentacostals are the WORST. They come in with this horrible holier-than-thou attitude, complain if their food isnt out in FIVE MINUTES, never say thank you when you serve them, leave no tip, and try to sneak out with the salt and pepper shakers.

Most of my black customers have been polite and gracious...most.

In our kitchen, we argued over who would take African Americans and Jewish patrons. BOTH tended to complain, send things back and not tip.

Two of our best servers were African American and they wouldn't serve either...just not worth our time to get screwed on tips..especially during a short lunch rush.

How would you even know who were Jewish patrons??

This was Los Angeles and they were very proud of being Jewish. Also,generally someone non-jewish doesn't use words like Gesundheit (well, unless your German).

On average the black customers were the worst with the church people a close second. All of the servers both black and white called the rude, loud, picky blacks "celebrities". As in "please don't seat me anymore cebrities tonight I need to make some money."

I grew up knowing and using that word (not as an adult). Did that used to be on tv a lot or something? Why do I know when to use it since I'm not jewish?

And "gesundheit" after a sneeze doesn't belong to jewish people, ffs. I've heard it and used it all my life and I don't even know any Jewws.

This is Los Angeles...perhaps you never worked in Television or the Music Industry and are just uneducated/inexperienced. YES...I did say that gesundheit was German AND Jewish. I have MANY German AND many Jewish friends. Had you read my post you would have seen I said Germans as well.

How many times in general have you heard Italians, French, Russians, Turkish etc. saying gesundheit?
