Thread: Flying Machine Gun

Weapon platform is too unstable to be realistic.

Caliber of weapon sounds large enough that the kick would would give that drone some serious flying issues not to mention any shots fired after the first would be way off.

Also, other then the obvious CG look of the drone flying you can also tell the guy is in from of a green screen.

Whether just blowing shit up or if the drone was real he would not be that close to the action for safety reasons.

There's no wires in CG.

Thing does look cool though and the bird eye view is likely from an actual quad copter.

...also if it was a flying gun there would be some sort of target marking and likely other hud data displayed on the screen. Like the amount of rounds and information needed to take an accurate shot(wind speed etc).

A small cal. gun system and ammo would be too heavy to lift.

If it was a 40mm and tube, I maybe could believe it.

I'm not exactly a rocket scientist but....

Looks as if the video is a combination of real foam drone with fake gun prop, some cgi, clever editing and actual pyrotechnics and on sight shooting. Not to mention its full of call of duty black ops references, probably a viral funded to promote COD black ops 2.

Im not an expert in firearms, cgi, editing or anything else but come on.

The guy is known not to be russian, but is famous for his russian guy routine gun nut channel.

When i first saw his videos a few years back i thought he was actually russian.

The thing doesn't have a shadow when it takes off ...and the shadows on the face of the host doesn't match the angle of the shadows on the scenery behind him

( His light source is directly from the right , the scenery light source is about 70 degrees higher from above )

Also the "Screen tearing" when he walks around the table doesn't quite match up, He's standing in front of a green screen.


( the background refreshes at a slightly different rate than his image does )



His show does a lot of "simulated" shots , mostly for safety reasons but this is the first time I've seen him fake an entire weapon
