Currently the polarity at the north of the sun appears to have decreased close to zero – that is, it seems to be well into its polar flip from magnetic north to south -- but the polarity at the south is only just beginning to decrease. What happened to the basic rules of magnetism, unless the laws of physics just changed & the Sun can be a magnetic monopole? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14841669 why? because they know. How do you know that? This is something that will prove and also disprove a lot of current theory and modeling |

A stronger opposing magnet can flip the polarity of a weaker magnet. You can also make a magnet have a stronger north or south if it's in the vicinity of strong magnet. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3115472 But isn't the sun essentially one huge magnet? So where is the second magnet causing the weirdness? |

That's CYA explaining why Hathaway's model doesn't use the 'asymmetries' when other current models do. I asked Dr Strong about it and he responded that Dr Strong himself confronted Hathaway about his models not using the asymmetries over three years ago... Here is a article from 2003 saying those asymmetries are 'normal'. A Star with two North Poles [link to science.nasa.gov] "In fact, it's a fairly normal side-effect of the solar cycle." Every 11 years around solar maximum, the Sun's magnetic field goes haywire as the Sun's underlying magnetic dynamo reorganizes itself. The March 2000 event was simply a part of that upheaval..." Normal indeed, it's described in a 1959 article [link to adsabs.harvard.edu] and another 2003 article 'Observations of the Sun’s magnetic field during the recent solar maximum' [link to www.ias.fr] |

The sun's matter is not a magnet, it's the substance circulating in the matter that is the real magnet. It's what holds the sun together. That same substance holds the Earth together too. The reason they don't understand is because what they learned in school was wrong. So they never had a true foundation of understanding. |
