The power source of a real UFO could illuminate the craft. Much like a rocket flame can be seen at night.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3115472 I see your point, but if we are talking super advanced interplanetary travelers, I would assume their methods of propulsion are way beyond a little high octane gasoline.. Quoting: SimpleJack No matter what that power source is, i.e, some type of quantum or warp drive, it's going to emit light regardless simply because of the amount of energy being used. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3115472 I completely respect your views I only respond to continue the debate. But what if they have an energy source that doesn't emit light? What if they a propulsion method that functions with magnetic energy? Our thought process to identify the unknown is based on our Earth thinking, but I am sure there is way more beyond how we think. Our ancestors used Gods and mythical creatures to explain the unknown. Now we rationalize what we cannot comprehend with theories based around our scientific achievements up to this point. Who would have thought we would be cloning beings two hundred years ago? Or that we would have such a powerful computing device in the palm of our hands 40 years ago now that we have smart phones?
