It will be interesting to see if the family decides to celebrate the windfall of cash by going out to dinner at KFC.

You can get a lot of 'cluck' for your 'buck' at KFC but $8.5mil worth of chicken wings if a little extra-crispy.

Fast food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken has been ordered to pay Aus$8 million (US$8.3 million) to an Australian girl who suffered severe brain damage and was paralysed after eating a Twister wrap.

Monika Samaan was seven when she suffered salmonella encephalopathy -- a brain injury linked to food poisoning that also left her with a blood infection and septic shock -- in October 2005.

Yum! Brands, whose restaurants include Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silver's and Pizza Hut, is trying to get other corporations more involved in lobbying the federal government so they can accept food stamps records show.

We live in a small town and our KFC doesn't change its cooking oil from one month to the next. The few times we've bought it, the smell it give off taking it home was enough to turn your stomach.

There's a town about an hour's drive from us that is only half the size as ours but their KFC always smells fresh and taste pretty good if you're into fried chicken take-out.
