How many go to church to give glory to God because they Love Him?

and after we have answered that one
How many live the rest of the day, week, month , year being kind to others? treating others as they would like to be treated? putting others first? thinking of others instead of themselves? being humble? being generous? being loving and kind even with those that arent with them?

Because just going to church wont cut it will it? way too easy. God isnt on sale and cant be bought, the pharisees were pretty good at all that abiding by the religious requirements and Christ called themn vipers and whitened sepulcres

Its the love that saves. The genuine true love we feel for others.Not for some, not for the ones we fancy but for everyone even those that are unkind

The Love.The compassion. The kindness. The gentleness.
It would be too easy otherwise.

Thats why Christ said many would be surprised and they will.

God was never up for sale and cant be bought. He sees the true nature of our heart and soul.

Its the love that saves. It always was.

When i go its for getting some calm and peace while the decorations,architecture and ambiance are astounding, last time i was alone except the organ player practicing.
Purpose and reason and because is not always suiting.

Benefits are.
No radio or television in the background.
No mobile phones and sms haywire.
People that feel the same way.

And if one likes songs and cheering up.
There is more but you get the drift.
For me it has nothing to do with religion.

I go but find it difficult because I cant feel the love. I have no sympathy for hypocrites of any nature. I prefer a real sinner to a false saint.

The hypocricy just gets me and the disappointment follows. Its interpreted as many other human emotions which it is not. Its just a deep and profound loathing of hypocricy in all its forms and manifestations.

what they dont seem to get into their heads is that they wont make it into the kingdom unless they are sincere and genuine ,compassionate ,kind and loving

Some people need to stop going to "church" (buildings made of wood and stone and man-made organizations) and start being the church (ekklesia, the called-out ones, living stones whose builder and maker is God and Christ is the chief cornerstone).

God does not dwell in temples made of stone. Your body is the temple. The kingdom of God is within you.

So, how do you fare?

Well I would, but Jesus sent me to work at a job where I have to work every sunday, waiting on people all dressed up after church, doin fun stuff I don't get to do. Then because I have to go to night school, church during the week is out too. Its almost over though, Id love to get back into a nice church, the praise and worship part is my favorite. I've often liked to go to the black churches,though I am scottish/irish. those people know how to get down with a good worship service.

I go to please God but I dont usually enjoy going because of all the above.
I prefer to pray in my room in silence. But I go because the church is important to me and as I said to please God.
I am under no illusion whatsoever that going to church will save me. It isnt my outward behaviour that will save me but what is within me ,the love I feel ,the compassion and kindness. That is why I try my best to love because it is what Christ taught.

For me it's like visiting a friend. I don't really do it out of duty or fear.

As Christians we represent Christ 24/7
If we are cruel to someone it reflects on our beliefs and ultimately unfortunately on Christ Himself
If we are selfish , if we are hypocritical everything we do wrong stains His teachings.

We are to be Christians always in everything we do. In how we treat others. In how we try to make others happy. In how we try not to hurt or cause sadness to others. Everything and to everyone. There is no one unworthy or no situation unimportant.
It would be too easy just to go to church and it isnt going to be that easy at all.

For me church (as the body of Christ) is a place to love and be loved; serve and be served; celebrate and be celebrated; weep and weep with; encourage and be encouraged; know and be known. This doesn't require church (as the institution or building), but it has always been helpful to me to gather with church (as the body of Christ).

the true followers of "GOD" are those who do not constantly pray or prophecize in his name amd those who are not slaves to self-righteousness.

why was Christ angry no furious at the merchants in the temple? because they tainted the name of God with their behaviour. They turned His temple that is made to give Him Glory and Love Him into a place of business.

That attitude is not only regarding trading its also what we bring inside our heart when we attend church. What do we harbour in our heart and soul? how have we behaved towards others or during the day or week? and importantly how will we behave when we leave? will we continue to hurt and demean others if we do? will we continue with out selfishness and hypocrisy or whatever sin we have?

then we too turn the temple into a place of trade, we bargain with God and offer attendance in exchange for a close eye regarding our failings and sins that we are too comfortabloe with to let go of and convert. Then we too are no better than those merchants

I quit going because I felt like everyone there was trying to buy their way out of hell and they expected me to do the same. I prefer experiencing "God" in my own way.

Going to church is good but the church is ultimately in our soul. Its there that we must maintain the light and the love. Its there that the candle must be lit so it can shine forth in the world.

But the church is a harbour to many therefore its important that it continues and attendance is vital. It also preaches Christs word.

Hypocrites are dangerous because they make others lose faith and turn away from Christ. They are a menace to His teachings as were the pharisees. They are a curse within Christianity.

Note Im not saying sinners I specifically mention hypocrites. They are the real threat. Because once people see through them it affects and undermines Christs word because they proclaim to be His followers.
Hypocrites inside of Christianity are a real danger.
