I made the same mistake years ago with a video of the beheading of nick berg. still haunts me. you can try to block things out, but once they are there..... your stuck. all you can do is to think of cheerful happy things until finally its not a constant image in your mind. I feel for you. Oh that would have been horrible. I am sorry the images still come up from time to time. I will try to override with happy cheery things. I feel for you. I watched it too, but the reason it didn't bother me so much is, because it's obvious that he was already dead. There was very little blood, no blood spurting, no movement either. Actually, it appeared that he was at Abu Graib prison, because of the ORANGE uniform and background. What does that tell you? Still, I won't watch any videos where person or animal is harmed or tortured, so I won't watch this one either. |

Like a couple of other posters here, I have always avoided witnessing such scenes of death and suffering, to preserve my innocence and humanity. Unfortunately, one day my curiousity got the best of me and I clicked on a video of a young marine being beheaded with a knife in Iraq. I wasn't the same afterwards as I can never Un-see it and I do feel it affected my humanity, took a while but you do forget eventually. I also saw most of the chinese toddler video and I regret it. I'm not going to say you will never think of it again but it does eventually and gradually stop "haunting" you and will become just a bad memory your mind will quickly learn to avoid.
