The Federal Reserve, by design cannot go bankrupt... they print the money, they control the money supply.

The US government can go bankrupt, but the Federal Reserve is not part of the government...

They can print money only until no one will accept it as payment for the paper, ink and labor to do so. And at that point they will have plenty of money on hand...

Now if anyone will accept it or not is another discussion.

But no the Fed cannot go bankrupt.
