| bad poem for auld lang syne User ID: 14508875 12/29/2012 08:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will write tomorrow The sky a brilliant blue Without a hint of sorrow To shadow me or you The clouds piled up like blessings All soft and rosy pink And all our past confessings And all the wrongs we think Will scatter into snowflakes That drift against the years Till all our sorry mistakes Are melted into tears By golden swords of sunbeams And carried out to sea Devoured by the old dreams Destroyed by destiny Not a soul remaining To sing the ancient songs Not a swordsman training To right the ancient wrongs All memory forgotten Save in the mind of God All trace of the begotten All footsteps ever trod All vanished into nothing As time and space unfold Until within the vanishing Shall come the time foretold When from eternal nowhere The Infinite will sound His Clarion the very air His Word the very ground On which to write tomorrow The sky a brilliant blue Without a hint of sorrow Happy New Year to you |
