Quoting: Rayrayz I was looking up at the stars and it looked like a star flew over me at incredible speed before vanishing. Shooting star? I have seen shooting stars before and this was too fast. It didn't have a trail behind it either. Just a little bright dot that moved incredibly fast from point a to point b and then disappeared. It did look like it was in space though...or upper atmosphere. Really weird. I would be interested to know if this is can be explained scientifically. Google for "Iridium flare". . |

You know its crazy you say this, about 1 1/2years ago I had a similar experience in a Chicago Alley, but it wasnt in the atmosphere, it was about 3stories high. It appeared very fast and was emitting light. It went zooming across from west to east so fast. It literally vanished as fast as it appeared. No noise/smell/smoke/etc. Coincidence I think not. |

Rayrayz (OP) User ID: 951476 United States 06/15/2012 11:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, I just saw two "UFO's". This time I was looking at the blue star in the the Eastern sky again. I panned to the south west and saw an unusually bright star. It started to move slowly in a straight line. It vanished over the horizon. Defo not an air plane. About 10 minutes later, I saw another seemingly stationary star that seemed too bright and out of place. It started to move slowly overhead and vanished when it reached close to the horizon. Now, I'm not getting all woo woo, it's just that these two "moving stars" were moving alot slower than my experience in the original post. I also realize that my perception of them being stationary could just be an optical illusion because my eyes took a couple of seconds to really focus on it. Now, can someone explain this in a non-smug/know it all way please? Satellite? Thanks... Last Edited by Rayrayz on 06/15/2012 11:03 PM |

Also notice, solid light, no flashes. Excellent vid capture |
