It's over 50 acres now, per our local news stations, and I'm seeing video quite frequently.

Pasco is a shit hole. Let it burn.

Pasco is just north of Hillsborough/Pinellas Counties.

There is a low pressure system just off the southern tip of FL, spinning off winds up into central FL.

It's supposed to enter the Gulf late tomorrow night/Wednesday, but that's a whole other topic.

Yes, I am currently watching the red glow along the tree line of the fire from the southwest side and heard a loud boom a while ago. It is very windy with gusts, and I am certain Pasco cannot handle this alone - if at all. First hand account that median was on fire on 19 about an hour ago. The smoke is blowing into the gulf almost straight west from the fire.

You've got some Hernando Co. responders and multiple battalions there.

The explosions were spoken about earlier. No confirmation where they came from.

I posted earlier the current wind speeds up there (I'm a bit south of you).

I also poster earlier, it's from a low pressure system near Miami spinning off winds to us.

PLEASE be safe. The fire has shifted directions several times while I have been listening to RadioRef.

yeah it has rained all weekend here in south florida because the low pressure system. Doesn't that mean less likely from lighting... and by trailer park.... if i had to make a bet, i would choose man-made.

I am from Tarpon Springs area and step into Pasco and everyone has trucks with gunracks.

Question is...will the media have the same opinion and not even mention this in the morning??? (We'll certainly hear about 'mportant stuff like 'Dancin' wid da Stars' - oh, I hate even sayin' it)

We got a bit of rain too, but not nearly enough.

I been watching Klystron, haven't seen any lightning up here in central west.

They just said on Bay News 9 that it's at New York and Hudson Aves. and they've evacuated 150 people from a mobile home park...damn, that fire's literally in their backyards. I didn't see a crew working right at that area...it looks like those people are going to lose their homes.

I'm in the Moonlake area a few or so miles from Hudson and don't smell any smoke, and can't see any either because it's dark.

Sheesh, just yesterday I was out watering down a leaf burn pile someone else started and left smokin'. One of Florida's redneck state bird, the devil Deer fly, did a drive by on me and my foot's swollen huge today. As hateful as this is it's worth it have made sure a wild fire didn't start.

I sure wish people would be more careful.

I hope our Hudson neighbors don't lose too much due to this fire.

A guy from a temp central command location say he's guessing they will be there through the night. It will be on our local news, for sure, especially with the multiple evacs and at least two shelters set up so far.

As soon as I saw the BayNews 9 vid when it was just 15 acres, I knew it was going to go big.

As for those pesky bug bites, in the future, have some Benadryl gel on standby, some 2x2 gauze and medical tape. Put the gel on, leave the dressing on. Change it at least 1x per hour for the first 4-5 hours. Most of the time you can avoid the swelling that way. ;)

I have to wonder if these fires could be starting from dropping asteroids and fire balls as these are on the rise lately...just a theory...

Yeah, I saw that and I am a bit concerned about their ability to control that with these wind conditions. Is that a truly manageable operation? To Moon Lake - the wind is blowing the smoke almost directly west into the gulf; you're to the southeast of the fire and wouldnt't likely see or smell the burning.

I wouldn't have even been outside in their territory if it weren't for the fire hazard. This is my third bite in two weeks and I'm seriously worn slick from them. I react very badly to them.

There are supposedly many homeless people living in the surrounding woods, and it was suspected they might have been responsible for a small brushfire on the other side south of Hudson Ave fronting Fivay last week.

Just heard more sirens nearby, and a medivac lifted off from the hospital a short while ago headed toward Tampa. I have a tree-line view of the burning area....still glowing red hot and higher smoke clouds lit up like a ballpark.

I'm surprised you didn't get a reverse 911 evac call as well! The winds are sketchy, so again, be safe, and don't hesitate to bug out if you need to, k?
