There is some truth to that, religion can make some people dumb, can make some people irrational, can cause divisions, can bring out the worst in people, can make people greedy and proud, but most of all, it keeps them from having a personal relationship with God's Son. That's why I stay away from religion.

If you have not received the life of Christ, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that only comes from belief in the Messiah, who is the ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SINFUL CONDITION, then you are spiritually dead.

You are a natural man, walking dead in the ways of the world, thinking you have attained to a higher sense of being, but lost and deceived by the one who is in control of this world this present time.

You must be born again. You must believe and accept the sacrifice that Almighty God has provided through His Son, Jesus Christ.

When you have done this, then the truth will be made clear to you--the scales will have fallen from your eyes and you will see and understand the things of God.

Until that happens, any other attempt to try to achieve spiritual whatever, will just be a lie and a deterrent to keep your eyes of Christ--it's the devils main intent and so many are choosing to go his way because they set their eyes on the behavior of man and don't take the time to see who Jesus Christ really is.
