Re: Christians: We are not under the law of the Old Testament....................
Like that is a major warning, from the very words of the Bible!

So who do you go by, the Church, or the Bible? and if you answer is 'church', then - why? Are you admitting there are mistakes in the Bible?

THE CHURCH CAME FIRST. THE RCC GAVE YOU YOUR BIBLE. NO
WHERE IN SCRIPTURE DOES IT SAY THE BIBLE IS OUR AUTHORITY,
INSTEAD IT SAYS THE CHURCH IS OUR AUTHORITY. "THE PILLAR
AND FOUNDATION OF TRUTH IS THE CHURCH." AND THE BIBLE
STATES WHEN YOU HAVE A DISPUTE YOU 'TAKE IT TO THE CHURCH' NOT SCRIPTURE. ALL FITS TOGETHER.

Oh my word.

Oh, MY WORD.

CAN you understand what blasphemy that is? yes, the Roman catholic church took the manuscripts and decided after razing many, changing some, and adding to what was there, which parts they would allow us to have.

Totally tampered with.

but still, the manuscripts are our authority. without those, your church would be unvalidated, even in their eyes.

The Catholic Church needs the scriptures, in some form or another, to validate them, in the eyes of the world.

the Scriptures should be your authority, after you ascertain that they are whole and weeded out the errors, additions, and found the deletions. No mere man who says 'I am the vicar of christ' and 'the church can change these laws in the bible' and contradicts everything (almost) the bible actually says, should be trusted or listened to at all, let alone placed above the authority of the scriptures they ostensibly rest their authority on! why doesnt the pope just say, then, 'Let's toss out this old bible, folks, I am your only authority, so - as I established my own authority, it is useless, worthless. Toss it in the trash'.

why do you even own a bible?

Re: Christians: We are not under the law of the Old Testament....................
My questions are about - I do not have them or cannot remember every one, they are back there, though.

One was, Have you read The Two Babylons?

PETER USED IT, 'BABYLON' WAS A CODE WORD FOR A PLACE, ROME, WHERE MANY OF THE FIRST CHRISTIANS WERE BEING MARTYRED. JESUS STATES AT PRESENT BABYLON IS THE ENTIRE WORLD, THERE IS SO MUCH GRAVE MORTAL SIN.

another was, doesn't the wording of the Catholic church calling the cross or crucifix a mark which marks you as a child of God make you afraid?

I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN BY A 'MARK.' THE CRUCIFIX IS THE REMINDER OF OUR REDEMPTION. OUR LORD'S GREAT ACT OF LOVE SHOULD NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. THERE IS A SPIRITUAL POWER IN THE CRUCIFIX, ESPECIALLY A BLESSED CRUCIFIX. PROTESTANT PASTORS RECOGNIZE THE FACT. ONLY A CRUCIFIX IS USED IN THE RITE OF EXORCISM. AN EMPTY CROSS IS USELESS. I HAVE A CRUCIFIX IN ALMOST EVERY ROOM OF OUR
HOME.

Yes, the system of the religion of Satan is called Babylon. that is the world's headquarters, and all nations have drunk of the wine of her fornication, Babylon, Mother of Harlots, ...who maketh the nations drunk with her ....

multitudes of her sorceries, abominations,...
with whom the kings of the earth ...(waxed rich? fornicated?)

Babylon the Great, that is called, but it is called after the physical ancient place of Babylon, Nimrod's abode, his great walled fortress city on the plain... he was the first to gather men inside fortresses, he was a mighty hunter before Yahueh, really, he was a priest of the Sun Deity, who wore leopard skins, and I think he may have been symbolically spoken of as the rider of the white horse..but that's just an aside, with a bow and arrow...

anyway, ancient Babylon was the origin of Rome's worship, Romes religion, all her rites came from there.

You ought to really read up on that, Catholic Lady. You need to get that book, and read it right quick. Please.

Differences between the cross and crucifix?

Oh, NO!

You need to read and fast. You are doing exactly what the priests of Baal are telling you to! You are in mortal danger, really, and you need to know that.

You are believing in men, Catholic lady, who are leading you into the abyss, the pit, and it is already 2012.

How much longer will you stay in this mirey quicksand of misinformation, lies, and deception they pass off as truth?

Who is your God? The Church? the Catholic, Babylonian church?

You believe men! On what grounds!? Ask yourself what if anything have you proven to yourself?

do you believe them because your parents did?

Becuase they have done a miracle for you?

Because you received a miraculous recovery from Mary, or Jesus?

You know this is not valid according to the bible. You are in severe danger.

Please know that. Look up what the cross (and therefore crucifix) is.

It is against Yah. So you are against Yahueh, the Creator, according to the Scriptures?

Make your answer carefully.

You should say the truth. You should say, then, 'I do not know exactly why I believe what I do. Let me look into these questions and then, after I know, and have proven things to my own self, I will be able to answer those questions'.

Please, do this.

Your priests lie to you, that is what they do to all people.

They know what they worship, and there is not a 3rd person in the Godhead or a second person.

they lied to you all about that.

They know it is only One, not a trinity/unity.

They are adepts in the Illumination of the Liar; they know as well as he does, how to lie to make it sound good to you all.

You may as well be a Canaanite.

Or an ancient Egyptian.

And a Babylonian.

They are all ancient, condemned people, if you believe the bible.

But you don't. do you.

Will it be no big deal, to you, then?

You behave here and talk as though you do not care.
as though you are a robot, talking as though you could not care less about the possibility (surety, according to the bible) of willfully angering the Creator of the Universe, Yahueh, the God revealed in the Bible, which your church father people hold, yet scorn.

They scorn it, after they say it is the truth.

That makes them the worst hypocrites. Blatant ones.

Liars, who do not care that they are going to hell; but you?

Catholic lady: you are not one of them; use your brain and prove these things, you are not meant to be a slave-driven robotic parrot to fulfill Satan's desire that you be cattle-prodded by priests of Baal into the pit of hell!

Just say, wait a minute, priest-dude, you don't own me! I will read what I need, to find out which things are true, and which things aren't.

this is my duty as a human being with a brain.

Don't scorn that gift. Cathlic lady, I am begging you, please take this as your cue from heaven, you need to stop, look and listen to the facts, and they are staring you in the face, trying to stare your willful stubbornness down, so that you will live.

Yah wants you to wake yourself up, and read, study and prove all things. He warned you.

Yahushua warned you.

(never mind about Jesus teachings of priests, they worship the same one as the Canaanites did, and they loved their saviour Christ Lord, Baal, for dying for them, and his symbol was the cross.

SAme as yours.

JUST TAKE A WARNING: IT IS LATE, YOUR TIME IS NIGH, AND YOU WILL NOT GET A WARNING LIKE THIS PROBABLY EVER AGAIN. I SURE DON'T HAVE THE TIME FOR IT.

Your God is not Yah. Your Saviour is the False one. Your priests know this. They are his agents. Do you think that their smiling, human faces as 'sweet' as they seem to be, (for they are human, mostly, in genetics) will look like Satan? No! Satan has a good appearance towards us, and those who do his bidding are the same way, beautiful, sweet looking and sweet seeming people.

Catholic lady, please you know this. You are being deluded and deceived by them, and you are agreeing to it. Do not agree to your death any more. Do what other people have done before you: have the courage to say NO! I am just as worthy as anyone else, and I have the duty to question you, and I do, and your answers are not good enough, they seem slippery, like twisty lies, and you are not being good to me, or even honest.

And get out of it. Do not become a protestant, they are even worse hypocrites than Catholics, to me, because they KNOW the pope and priesthood are corrupt and sinful and dishonest, and they only protested a little teeny weeny bit, just to look 'good' and then, accepted the rest of it, as rotten as it all is.

they are harlots of Mother Babylonian Whore. Just read your book, the Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop.

Then, read The Sacred Name, by R. Clover, by Qadesh la Yahweh press, covina California.

Free on the web to download.

Dont' believe anything til you have proven it thru scriptures and history. Even that man says one opinion which he states as fact, when it is not.

in Chapter 11, I think.

(not everyone will die, it says, in the Bible).

Then, get a purple book over the web from South Africa, called 'Come Out Of Her, My People' by C. J. Koster.

then, you can just know you have been lied to so blatantly, you will be utterly astonished at Satan's genius, and you will have courage to come out totally and renounce that Church. It is what you must do, please. Yah loves you, He made you, and your saviour is King Yahushua, not Jesus, (that is the Luciferic saviour, son of Satan, so to speak)

and that sign of his is the cross/crucifix.

You must get them out of your home, they do have power, spiritually, they have black magical power, and they are not a good thing, but a very very bad thing to have around you. Please, look into this, it is history, and you don't want to go with the majority who have worshipped this Beast and you are doing it now.

"And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand" Mat 12:25

It's interesting to see that one concept of the bible would fuel a debate that would have arguments of up to 96 pages long. lol, you guys are just welcoming the destruction of your religion.

OP's statement that christians are not under law is true but the passage he uses to back that up is incorrectly used. Jeremiah does not make a covenant with the future christian generation but rather with the specific "House of Israel".

These are the best passages to holster why we aren't under the law
(most likely these have been said, but i'm not going to waste my time reading through 90 pages of bullshit)

1. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fullfil them. Mat 5:17

2. Peter's vision of unclean animals and his meeting with Cornelius (Salvation for Gentiles) Acts 10

3. Circumcision is obsolete (mosaic law is likewise) 1 cor 7:19

to be honest, i just wasted my time trying to meddle in trivial things.

What do you mean about old testament law?

The laws of Moses? No we are not under those laws.

However, we are under the law of God.

The Bible defines sin as transgression of the law, what law? The law of God (the 10 commandments)

If we are no longer beholden to the 10 commandments then it is impossible for us to sin because there is no law to judge us by, this means we can go about doing all manner of evil and not have to worry about it - this is a doctrine of the devil.

We are under the law of God and we always will be, we will never be good enough! This is where Jesus came in for us, but we must do our best to obey the law.
We are not saved by works, we are saved by grace.
But grace comes through belief in Christ and Christ himself obeyed the law.

If we are to follow Christ, we follow Gods law.

Hope that makes sense for ya.

...the ten commandments are part of the OT law.

sin is defined in the bible as good that can be done but isn't. James 4:17

Salvation is a very hard concept to define from the bible, but just believing will never get you into heaven.

James 2 says that faith is dead without deeds. So unless you start "working" your faith is dead.
What is work? Preaching, really. (Acts 1:8)

First of all, you must understand that i do not believe in the judeo-christian God.
2. I can understand if you're trying to say that the Christians are the figurative House of Israel, but in Hebrews 8:9 it speaks about how God saved the people from Egypt.
Was paul part of those people or his ancestors? From that we know that God was speaking with one specific group. The group that was led out of Egypt.

Unless you want to translate being led out of Egypt figuratively for the Christians, i don't see the connection.

This is another small reason why I don't believe. Too much twisting of the word to fit in the eyes of other authors.

Science?

Isn't God amazing!

Here is a science question:

Strange cosmic ray hotspots stalk southern skies -

It's a mystery because the hotspots must be produced within about 0.03 light years of Earth. Further out, galactic magnetic fields should deflect the particles so much that the hotspots would be smeared out across the sky. But no such sources are known to exist.

i meant Jeremiah prophecies about God making a new covenant with the specific house of israel, meaning the people with direct lineage to Jacob, or Israel.

I really don't understand your question...

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

^An new covenant^

Because:

Hebrews 8:13
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

^Paul wrote that^

Is he under the New Covenant?

Re: Christians: We are not under the law of the Old Testament....................

The Israelites rejected the new covenant, so the new covenant was given to the Gentiles.

42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
(Matthew 21:42-43)

46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Thank goodness you finally came along!

Perhaps you can help-

Since some of the Apostles were previously from The House of Israel (and Judah)

But obviously they became Christian-

How can you spot a Christian walking down the street whose roots may have been with the House of Israel (or Judah)
